    Week 6 EWU

It's a given UND won't play any D. My gut says this one gets away from us early and UND makes a game of it late. SE174 called it 38-30 EWU. If we are within 8 late in the game w a chance I'll be giddy.
  2. IMO Deano let GT have some rope on this issue to handle it as a good AD would and GT promptly decided to make a noose and put it around his neck.
  3. GT might need to come to grips that this scenario and his mishandling of it will not get him a better AD gig in the future...if he doesn't get the hammer and shown the door at 'su. Remember he doesn't have Joe to do shots with or snoop thru Pottery Barn catalogs for furniture with when things go south anymore.

    Week 6 EWU

Simple perspective: UNA and the Griz will both run for 250+ on us with our D playing the run as it is. Those are 2 home games that are far from a lock. And we have to go play the Cats. Tough to gauge our chance in any game left if UND doesn't clean up defensively.

    Week 6 EWU

Unfortunately I don't see this one being close. We might give up 400+ thru the air. If we get minimal QB pressure like we have to date it will get ugly. Conservatively my early call is 42-20. If Braden is all that and a bag of chips and is able to play it might be closer. Our D is just flat out poor...doesn't matter if it's vs. run or pass.
  6. This ^^^^^^...tough to win in any league when you get gashed like this game in and game out
  7. Channeling my inner Jim Mora..."Playoffs?... playoffs?" UND would have to win 5 of the next 6 games and get some help. This defense just isn't good enough at this point to allow that to happen.
  8. I had some concerns last week going to Cali a 2nd straight week after a tough loss to SDSU. Not this week...if UND gets any kind of play on one side of the ball that resembles a defense, UND wins by 2 TDs at a minimum IMO.
  9. Vegas gives the home field advantage -3 points in NFL games...unless the game is played in Seattle, (yes I'm still bitter) and the Al Saturday will be worth at least -3 points for the good guys. Marcus isn't going 4 for 17 so unless we give up 400+ on the ground, I'm not saying I'm just saying, UND wins by double digits.
  10. Agree...leaves some questions as to the leadership and character within the locker room to start the year. Would have expected more from the likes of Mac, Knight and Rowney. Unacceptable to leave teammates to basically fend for themselves in those conditions. Forbort was quoted as saying it was a party that just got out of hand...not a valid excuse IMO.
  11. Drake Cagguila was the one taken to hospital per Fox News.
  12. So give your thoughts on those who tithe to the church of their choice? Give to the Salvation Army? I could go on... Your constant assumption, on any topic, that people have an underlying diabolical plan to take advantage of others for their own personal gain is simply disturbing!
  13. UND's next five games are flat out a total meat grinder. I saw the Griz play...like most teams they have issues, but they are more than solid. If UND wins the 3 home games at a minimum, I think they are easily at top 20 team at 6-3 after 9 weeks.
  14. Agree. It's a very generous and substantial gift to the university. And on a political side note, we all can agree Mr. Hamm is not part of the 47%!!! Kudos to Mr. Hamm for his generosity.
  15. I'll take the over on their average yards per game on the ground this Saturday. No way UND holds Poly under 350 after what I've seen from our D last 3 games.
  16. Whoever feels this whole situation isn't disappointing to the program and university at a minimum is not only a homer looking thru kelly green glasses, but an idiot. Remember people, this is UND we are talking about...not the AC to the south. We pride ourselves in doing things the right way at our university and taking accountablity and responsibility when we don't. Being an institution that enables we are not!
  17. Big picture here...this team is 3-1 and just coming of their 1st BS conference win and it was on the road. Marcus wasn't great last night but the O still put up 35. A running game will help any QB. Just look at Jensen at the AC!!! Minus the Mines game, UND is still averaging around 40 per game with Marcus at the trigger. 40 points a contest should win you every game. I'm not a Braden hater either, but I'm with bincity in the category that if it ain't broken, don't fix it! I'd like to see Marcus get the start vs. Poly. What is broken is our run D. And that needs top be fixed cause what does Poly do? Next Saturday's result will have way more to do with our D or lack of it than who plays QB IMO.
  18. UND will have a week to prepare against a team that is one dimensional. If UND can't tackle or scheme better, we might see 400+ on the ground hung on us. Worst tackling UND team I've seen since the mid 80's. And to top it off, we rarely get multiple hats to the ball. Bad bad combo against the run! The D made some plays when it needed to last night to their credit. The Sac. St. fumbled exchange as they were going to punch it in was the game changer, but still some team had to recover the fumble. Marcus wasn't great last night, but I still think you go with him to start next week. IMO the O-line needed Sutton to get touches last night. He is a one cut downhill runner and sometime that's what is needed for a line to build on. Postitive plays then boom...bust one. Sutton needs to get 20+ touches next week too. Bottom line...1st BS conference win and it's on the road. That's a big win for this team.
  19. Muss should be giddy to be up 7 after that half. To give up 220+ yards on the ground in a game is poor but in a half...brutal!
  20. Don't know if we could stop Shanley right now!
