I agree...a "national search" with Faison's "vast network", as some have called it, gives us 1) Bubba and 1A) DoBoer as contenders to become the new HC of this FB program. And Pflu was sent out to sea by the HR dept................

I have seen numerous opposing top flight RBs come to Alerus over the past couple years. Chappel had the talent to compare to those guys IMO.

Speaking of Chapel...how good could he have been? On pure talent...probably top 10 player to come to UND in the last 25 years. Answer to this thread...Dressler and it really isn't close IMO.

Let's cut through the BS here...Pflu isn't the issue. HR departments are not the issue...although I can see the argument here. UND not having a head FB coach right now is the issue. I personally think Pflu is a good candidate, but if he isn't a "9" so be it. If the HR dept at UND axed him...so be it. Still doesn't get to the issue that Faison doesn't have a HC yet. To me that's the issue. If he walks on water like some of you suggest, he certainly can deliver this program a FB coach as a Christmas present I would think!

If a hire isn't made this week I can easily see it going into the week of Jan. 6 with the holidays midweek the following 2 weeks.

Bottom line...Hak is a very, very good coach and he can recruit. Seems a little stubborn in his ways and with his system sometimes though.

That's another way to look at it...and another way is SU makes it to the NC and wins it...Faison has to announce somewhere close to that time frame I would think. Just saying that's a real possibility.

The first paragraph sounds like a potential Hallmark card! Regarding Pflu: That's why many feel this process is a joke...including me. There are NOT 9 better candidates especially with any dumb a** point system in place.

I don't think we will see the "9" unless Miller can sleuth it out. And to the rumors... that's all they are even from my guy...heck I could have been talking to "gfhockey" for all I know!? I will still stand by the feeling that if Pflu isn't a "9" this process is just a flat out circus with Faison as the ring leader. There was a small window for Faison to have his s*** together, have "his" guy in place and steal some much needed spotlight for this program with Bohl leaving but with SU winning yesterday and Klieman being named HC today any announcement at anytime now by Faison won't create much of a buzz IMO. I see it as a totally wasted opportunity.

That's because the USC AD knew Sark was his top choice before he fired Kiffin. I question if Faison ever had a top choice...and if it was Tibs...really? Odds of that hire were minimal at best from the start.
