  1. Goodness...the team collectively hit a AA meeting today as well?
  2. I would be suprised if Rocco didn't score tonight. Would be suprised if Easy Mac did score tonight. He might be our 2nd best forward tonight but the gap between those 2 is huge. If Rocco doesn't score at least one, UND is in trouble.
  3. Bottom line Rocco is the only "goal scorer" playing forward tonight. Someone might pop one in, but 7 career goals doesn't scream "count on". Now watch him get a hatty tonight!
  4. Easy Mac isn't someone I would count on tonight, but I could be wrong. That being said a win tonight will be a bonus.
  5. Looking at who is able to play tonight one wonders where UND is going to get sustained offense from other than Rocco. I can see this one being a 2-1 game either way. Getting the 3 captains back for Saturday will make a huge diffference and I think UND rolls Saturday if they get any decent goaltending whatsoever.
  6. My Griz buddy in Missoula said fan base there not happy! Even though Griz are young too many mistakes being made physically and mentally. Sound familiar??? He thinks it will be easier for UND to control Griz run game vs. Griz controlling UND passing game especially in a controlled weather enviroment. I told him he hasn't seen our run D!!! Still, we both like UND in this one.
  7. Based on 2 exhibition games Clark starts Friday. If he plays well start him again Saturday.
  8. So what you're saying is you have UND in 2 blowout wins this weekend!
  9. Back to the game itself...I saw the Griz week 1 vs. the Yotes. I know that was awhile ago, but if UND can slow down their running game at all I see UND winning this one and possibly by double digits. I have know doubt Hanson plays better than last Saturday (provided he isn't out from the head to head shot). As UND-FB-FAN stated above, FB is about adjustments. The UND coaching staff knows the Griz are going to smash mouth the ball on the ground.
  10. And if I would have hit those 2 15 footers for birdie and holed out from the fairway for eagle Sunday I would have shot 74 instead of 78! I hear and get what you are saying, but UND is 3-4...it is what it is.
  11. Fair enough. I think we both want to see this FB program take off and become something that has the buzz of the hockey program How that eventually happens and who gets us there, I think we see differently and we can agree to disagree on how that might come about.
  12. Nothing else...even if I drew you a picture explaining things you wouldn't get it. Answer me this...on a scale of 1-10...10 being euphoric...where are you on this FB program/Muss as it stands today taking in account the whole body of work to date under him??
  13. You're welcome. Let me know if you need anymore enlightenment.
  14. Oh ya, you missed this...maybe some of this FB program mess falls on Faison's shoulders? Just another thought. Something has to change...the hype of entering the Big Sky won't last beyond this season if UND goes 5-6, which is how I see it shaking out, and nothing changes within the program itself. Remember all the empty seats at the Fargodome prior to Bohl taking over...and Fargo is a 'SU FB town. They don't have hockey. People want to complain that UND is all about hockey...then have someone within the university do something to change that perception. Unfortunately this FB season won't change that perception about hockey. BTW...I do have UND beating the Griz.
  15. Muss unfortunately was judged by Faison on one particular season which was last season...which was a mirage in the total body of his work with a pathetically easy schedule to boot. The jury is in...Muss isn't a HC at this level. The rest of this season will bear that out...as will next season...and the next season.
  16. Never thought he was a good fit as a HC. Still don't. He seems way in over his head at this level. D2 OC...fine. FCS HC...nope. If UND has him thru 2015...5-6 and 6-5 will be the norm. If you think he is doing a decent job this season and has to date as HC you are in the minority. There are very very few fans of Muss in my season ticket holder section...and that's being generous.
  17. It's a terrible call if Muss had no intention of going for it on 4th down...which obviously he didn't. I can see taking a shot on a low %, high reward throw if you are going to back that play up w a 4th down go for it call. Like many have said...as it played out it was a bad call and typical Muss mismanagement.

    UND Defense

I remember watching the UND teams of the early to mid 80's. Those teams had some really bad defenses, but all things relative (D2 vs. D1 FCS) this is IMO the worst D I've seen at UND.
  19. He is very conservative in his game management generally speaking. He seems to play the "odds" a great majoroity of the time regardless of the situation. I don't see that changing Saturday or the rest of this season. Too many coaches make decisions based on what should be called as to cover their a## instead of playing to win. Anyone hear the NAU coach post game on this philosophy coming out for the 2nd half??? You'll never here Muss say that or go with that mindset. The 3rd and 1 play that was at best a low percentage play on the deep sideline pattern should have dictated that he would go for it on 4th down? That sequence of 2 plays made zero sense...but like it or not that's Muss.

    Fire Muss

Another thing that really bothers me is where was Muss when Hanson basically got speared and knocked out of the game. It was a blatant cheap shot but there was no direct emotion from Muss about the hit. I'm not advocating going postal but there was no outward concern or anger with the missed call whatsoever.
  21. Agree...all things being relative the NCC back in the day is the Big Sky of today.
  22. Once Hanson's feet settled down and he didn't quickly throw the check down, I thought he played well. One could tell his leg is still an issue, nonetheless he has to start Saturday. UND will score 30+ again vs. the Griz and as I've said before this program should never ever lose a HOME game when that happens. Unfortunately this D is the worst UND has had since the mid 80's.
