This program played in 2 DII title games a little over a decade ago...winning one, it's program history is rich, the facilities are good and are going to get better and this program needed a HC and yet it seamed like the postition was obviously not a desired destination by many...unless you were one that saw the inevitable train wreck at SIU. Has this program fallen that far in 11-13 years? Outside of Pflu, who I thought was the best candidate with head coaching experience, there wasn't really anyone that applied that gave me the "Wow' factor.

My apologizes if I sound a little bitter....I AM!!! I was just expecting more and that this would have be handled better. Now with that being said...DeBoer as HC with Bubba as DC and let's move on.

From what I have seen during this hiring process with Faison as the lead man, I don't think I'll witness what I'll watch Friday at the Alerus anytime soon...........

So this big "national search" and BF using his "vast network" really never happened. And if DoBoer...shouldn't BF have made that call and decision after the season he and his SF team came up here and embarrassed UND?

The thought that Tibs was even an option by some is even more disappointing...totally unrealistic.

The "would be fine" part is what I'm hearing more and more around here and that's disappointing. This program went into a total tailspin with Muss and I guess I was looking for more with this hire than (insert name) "would be fine". But I guess it is what it is.........

I'll call BS on that. So with all you HR wizards...what was/is the earliest Faison could have possibly made a hire? And what is "however many days"? Surely one of you has this answer?? So if a hire is made this Friday like some think...is THAT day the earliest Faison could have possibly have pulled the trigger? Again UND goes thru this whole "process" to come up with a coin flip between Bubba and DoBoer as to who is the next HC?

I think what is frustrating people, myself included, is the speculation that it's Bubba or DoBoer AND the process that has taken place to come up with those 2. National search?? Faison's vast network of connections?? If its either one of these 2 so be it...doesn't get me excited but if it is this decision could have been made much earlier without the HR debacle of a points system and having a special "9" and all these interviews. These 2 are and have been in UND's backyard for years...pull the trigger. If it's not one of those 2....disregard this ramble.
