So this is how I see the forward lines this weekend:
Rocco-Luke-Drake
Mark-Parks-OD
Colton-Bryn-Murphy
General-Rodwell-Gaarder
I don't mind these lines at all.
And Bobby Petrino is without baggage? And at a school, which is a top15-20 FBS program, he left hanging already once.......
The Pflu situation at UND is what it is, but if Louisville can give Petrino another look...wow!
Since the conversation has turned to Bubba and his hiring of assistants I thought I would throw this in here: Strong gets named HC at Texas on Monday and Louisville will probably name it's new head coach tomorrow...potentially 4 days to hire a new HC...not 4+ weeks. And Bobby Petrino is a candidate...and our HR dept. sent Pflu down the river. Just saying...
CC is 0-8-1 on the road and 0-5 in 1 goal games. We aren't real good but they are awful.
Goon...what does this weekend set up for?
As far as OD...he is always nicked up.
That sucks...nothing like letting SF go 10+ plays on 2 consecutive drives to end it. Knew GB needed a TD vs the FG to tie it on last possession.
Fire Capers!
Exhibition games don't matter as the voices in my head are chanting from reading the past 2 game threads but potentially losing your best player to injury would absolutely kills this teams chances of making the NCAA tournament. No way to sugar coat this one...completely wasted trip...but I'm sure the HR dept and BF used their "points system" to justify the scheduling of it months back.
Least we have another offensively inept NCHC team in CC coming to the Ralph next week.
IMO this game can be traced back to the first few minutes...no push or fire then Zane gives up one of his typical "how did he let that one in" goals...now it's a game from that point.
Zane=BE. Good enough most of the time.
With a team that would struggle to score 4 on Davies or GFRR, your goalie really has to be one of your top 3 players most nights.
But then again I have heard a lot about the "potential" of many of UND's non-Fr. skaters over the last couple of years that hasn't come to be.
Schloss prior to the game last night compared this UBC team to the U of Manitoba teams that come to the Ralph...regardless of some spin here it's a bad bad loss vs a bad team even if the excuse is an exhibition game.
