First time ever I can honestly say that I think I've watched my last UND FB game for awhile. Won't go to NC game and not sure I'll renew my season tickets...next year there will be plenty available on gameday walk up.
It will 4-5 years before respectability is restored to this once proud program. Never thought I'd see this type of debacle after Lennon left.
Like most teams...goaltending can make or break you as was evident by both teams both nights. Zane just cannot lay an egg after a great performance the game before. I remember w BE you felt you were down 1-0 before the puck dropped as he always seemed give a softie or bad goal per game even though he might make 6-8 ridiculous saves...Zane is getting close to that.
I have been a supporter of Panz but he hasn't played well at all in his 2 games this year. His lack of quickness and speed was really evident last night vs their top skill guys. Ausmus is going to be OK.
Faison needs some heat for this mess too. The extention to Muss after the 8-3 co-champs of the GW season was a joke IMO. This is tough to see and watch. Time to rebuild this program...brick by brick...with a new HC and staff.
I watched most of the SU game. They just flat out stuff the run and pound it down your throat. Jensen just doesn't have to suck. They play old NCC FB...remember to those UND teams!
You seem to know hockey better than most including me but that 4th line is not your normal college 4th line and IMO the addition of Chyzyk with his speed and skill set to Johnson and Murphy really has potential moving forward. Your thoughts?
I find it amusing that some are bringing up playoffs STILL for this team. Let me put it this way...ZERO chance at the playoffs and that number is too high!! This team has shown no ability to play consistent winning FB. They are 12 of 13 in scoring D in the BSC. Reality needs to set in for some and playoff talk needs to end ASAP. A disciplined well executed team win today would be a welcomed sight...let's start there.
If Mattson OD and Parks continue to play at a consistent level like they did last night this team will be tough to beat night in and out. The Fr. have all looked good and will continue to get better but the Jr class is the key to the season IMO.
