In the last 10 years how many west teams have won opening round games? Too lazy to research it but it can't be more that 7 or 8.

What amazes me is McKay had a GAA around 1.50 and a save % of around .950 last season. He was just awful this past weekend. I get having a bad game will happen but I heard thru the grapevine at the Ralph that Wilbur was fielding text messages about mid way thru the 2nd period Saturday from the Miami bench if he could suit up!

Clark is 4-0 on Fridays and I don't think Zane has lost a game since early-mid November. Guess you are out of glitter and your unicorn ran away........... Seriously I think a split is more probable than either team getting a sweep.

Same thing needs to happen with curling in this country...2 straight Olympics have been a disaster for both the men and women...especially the men. And is there a word more fun to say than "bonspiel"??!! All together now..."bonspiel". See...that's fun.

Let's try to look at this objectively: 1) Miami entered the weekend dead last in the NCHC 2) They completely forgot to show up Saturday 3) They are easily the worst team I have seen play D in their own end in years 4) UND looked like a completely different team Saturday vs any other game I have seen them play this year. So I think it was a combo of all the above...but I would like to think that if the players on UND are given the freedom to skate, create and pressure like they did Saturday that we will see more of that type of play moving forward regardless of how Miami played...especially on Saturday. If you have some horses you gotta let 'em run!
