Would it be a stretch to say FU's D is a top 40 squad nationally? Think about them w a healthy Heagle!!! Yikes. Lots of mediocre Ds in big conference's lower teams.

Not disagreeing but winning due to your D covers up at best average QB play as well.

One can see how Rocco is a true center with play below the redline and playmaking ability.

Heard from some really close to the FU program he is the real deal and he is better than Brock but can't play him when Brock has a Natty and probably on way to a 2nd despite his continued pedestrian play.

Read that FU LB Olson set a FU record for 29 tackles in a single game yesterday. That is absolutely amazing...especially when you take into account UND's entire LB core didn't reach that total until week 4!

And that's why they are FU fans...blinded by winning. He has accounted for about a 1/4 of all the points given up by his own team all season!!! Make no mistake, his success is a by product of that defense not his individual play.

CFB on Jim was good call...dumb play on his part. Missed the CFB on Kristo late in 3rd and then missed one on Easy Mac as he was heading to bench on line change shortly after that. Hunt and Shep were absolutely brutal last night...but what's new. Panz was really solid...2 big checks on his first shift. He keeps in simple and isn't flashy but he brings some physical play in our D end. I hope he stays in the lineup. Gleason makes way too many miscues on the NFL ice...his turnover lead to Du's first goal. He is way better suited for the big ice with his speed. Rowney played like Rowney last night. Kristo was his usual self last night...one of the 3 best players on the ice. If this is the Rocco UND gets the rest of the year, watch out. He was absolutely amazing last night in every phase of his game.

Have huge momentum then the CFB and we are hanging on...barely. A player can't put himself in the position Jim did at the point of the game. 3rd DU goal was weak...Clark will want that one back.

That falls on Brock. A game with 3 picks with one being a pick 6 would change things dramatically. He doesn't have to win it, just not lose it today.

Bottom line...this team is averaging less than 3 goals a game to date. Aside from the given "hot goalie" we will face every game , our top skill guys have to finish at some point. Rowney's goal last night was lucky and a great break to tie the score. The save on Easy Mac late in 3rd was sick, but he shot it in the only place a sprawling goalie even had a chance to stop it. This team has way too much offensive skill to be scoring just under 3 a night...something has to give at some point this season.

I don't think FU has any problems with Wofford. If your meal ticket is pounding the rock...you are playing into FU's hands. Their front 7 on D should dominate. This isn't even GSU from last year's playoffs and look how they handled them.

Agree...Parks is the guy IMO to get Rowney going. Parks is a beast on the wall and in the corners. ODonnell has be a big disappointment to date and I agree he sits if Parks is healthy. St. Clair and Gaarder bring more to the table at this point and although Rodwell couldn't score on an open net his other attributes are too great to bench.
