No other way to say this...but for the host country, the Russian men's hockey team has been the biggest disaapointment. And it's not even close..............

Schloss has a blog piece and comments on Hak's "system" offensively and that from '04 forward UND is 3rd nationally in overall scoring. Guess that blows my issue of Hak running too tight a system at times of of the water. BTW in 32 games this year included are 4 exhibitions, UND has scored 3 or less 21 times. 2 goals or less 11 times.

Correct...the Olympics aren't a big deal, no one cares about hockey, who's watching at 6 in the morning and he isn't Brock Jensen...are some of the comments I've heard in the F-M area. I guess maybe hoping to get a crack at arena FB or getting a job at Best Buy is a bigger deal than being a rock star in Sochi?

In the last 10 years how many west teams have won opening round games? Too lazy to research it but it can't be more that 7 or 8.

What amazes me is McKay had a GAA around 1.50 and a save % of around .950 last season. He was just awful this past weekend. I get having a bad game will happen but I heard thru the grapevine at the Ralph that Wilbur was fielding text messages about mid way thru the 2nd period Saturday from the Miami bench if he could suit up!

Clark is 4-0 on Fridays and I don't think Zane has lost a game since early-mid November. Guess you are out of glitter and your unicorn ran away........... Seriously I think a split is more probable than either team getting a sweep.

Same thing needs to happen with curling in this country...2 straight Olympics have been a disaster for both the men and women...especially the men. And is there a word more fun to say than "bonspiel"??!! All together now..."bonspiel". See...that's fun.
