Agreed. Laurila coming in, Zmolek returning. We'll see how the rest of the d-corps looks once 4 and others make up their minds. Bring in Laurila and maybe a JR/SR out of the portal if needed.

Yeah, he was out for the entire 3rd period...and maybe the 2nd? I don't recall if the injury was during the 1st or 2nd.

Not really sure that he was ready TBH, but as a free agent I understand that they wanted to get him into their system.

Maybe the KEM NIL mega load can retain him. If not, if we can keep the bulk of the rest and end up losing the SR class & Perron out of this crazy mess…next years team looks pretty darn ok “on paper”. Just need a decent leader to bring them all together. If that’s Dane and he does well, then alright. Also…he needs to make sure Zellers and Laurila make it to campus still.

Yeah for sure. That's not a decision you make just based on a "hope" of getting Hak. You talk to Hak prior to the decision and find out.

Man, the whole Fire Berry thread was people saying that the divided locker room was due to Berry, or how players were upset about how he handled the Jammer situation, or how players respected Dane more. Who knows at this point. Hopefully this coaching decision is made soon and the team can start to move forward in a positive manner. And hopefully we can retain enough important pieces from this years team. We'll see.

That was such a prick move on his part. Agreed, no respect for him after that. It gave me joy when UW still couldn’t put it together with his mixed UW/MSUM roster.

If Hak is the guy, I'd love to see him add St Clair/Smaby as an assistant and then add Bryn as a GM role like has been mentioned. Get the program back to being a national contender over the next half decade and then pass the torch to one of the young guys.

If rumors are true that Bear is coming in, that is monster news. Winnipeg kid that most have pegged in top 15 for the draft. He may slip a bit with his achilles injury but he would be a huge boost for next year's team depending on who stays.

Application deadline is the 26th...in two days. Which means that this process had already begun weeks ago and they already have their guy.

Wonder if he could still be at UND next season…Achilles surgery recovery around 9-12 months or so? Not sure if he already had surgery or not but would assume so.
