Yes, for sure. Looking at UNO's roster, I seriously recognize only like 6-7 names and the rest are mysteries. They'll be fielding a USports All-Star team essentially with Simon still in net at least. Just hard to predict how those players will adapt and how quickly. They will be the most interesting NCHC team to follow this next season IMO due to that USports unknown...I could see them finishing anywhere from 4th to 8th and it wouldn't surprise me.

It also makes me wonder how some of those USports players (that UNO and others loaded up on) will do in the NCAA/NCHC. Granted, I don't think Manitoba has ever looked like a top USports team, but I think the majority of them are going to have a tough transition to college puck.

Agreed! You know a lot of eyes are gonna be on him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take some lumps as he adjusts to the NCAA level but hopefully he's flying by the end of the season and helps lead UND back to the F4.

Schloss wrote an article about the pro camp...I remember hearing about that years ago but didn't realize that it kind of died off. Sounds like Dane led the charge to bring it back, and that's great to hear. Great group of former players showed up! Wisdom and Whitelaw were two very solid pickups out of the portal for them. I would’ve welcomed both to UND, although I’ve seen it mentioned that Whitelaw is an issue in the locker room. They lost their best 200ft forward in Washe, their best center in Matteo, and the best forward in the league in Bump. Bump will be very hard to replace, he single-handedly won them several games.

That streak has got to end sometime, right?!? Every year the last like three seasons they've lost all their big scorers and every year they get replaced by someone new. Has to end at some point.

I'm not sold on WMU or DU being #1 in the league this year with all they lost. Both have coaches that can certainly get the most out of their players though, so it wouldn't be a shock. Also not sold on UND taking over the top spot if one of those two above isn't #1. As UND also lost a bunch. Gonna be a wide-open, fun season I have a feeling.

I still wish we didn't have to play BSU every season...
