  1. NICE!! 1-0 KUNZ
  2. SLU leads QU 1-0 in the 2nd.
  3. With how well UNO has been playing defensively the last month+, I’d be shocked if we scored 5 (or won by 3). Unless we score two ENG in a close game.
  4. NCHC Award winners were handed out today: Grainger - WMU - Senior Scholar Athlete Gotz - UMD - Sportsmanship Award (must not be listening to Sandy's dive clinics) Behrens - DU - Defensive Dman (Zmolek got robbed!) Z Buium - DU - Offensive Dman Z Buium - DU - Rookie of the Year Laba - CC - Defensive Forward Blake - UND - Forward of the Year Mayotte - CC - Coach of the Year Blake - UND - Player of the Year
  5. Yep, and then they switch if they end up playing on Saturday:
  6. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-practice-report-ludvig-persson-looks-very-good-at-xcel-energy-center?fbclid=IwAR1La0Kg925QR0SV4omwvFHc6sm8EO7oYcabRbX8-rEEiujHokaLzkneab4
  7. Yes, I was shocked that UNO won with how many chances CC had and how they were controlling play. Latkoczy played well and Mbereko wasn't at his best too.
  8. Yep, that's a bit odd of a take from some. The other (more wealthy) business owners can follow and join this collective...business opportunities are listed right on their page already. I own a business 2500 miles away from GF but won't hesitate to join up with this group if it'll help recruit and retain UND athletes...working out the details now!
  9. This is the collective for UND though, not UMD.
  10. For sure. Any 1 seed that advances will have a very tough game to make it to the F4. Some very good teams in those 2/3 seeds.
  11. Like that plan. I’m already sick of Omaha and now we have to play them 1-2 more times this season with a lot more on the line. Let’s hope the boys come out with more fire than their last UNO series.
  12. Still a week to go, but playing around with the YATC, with that logjam of NCHC teams on the bubble...it could for sure happen. Unless there's 5 NCHC teams in the tourney and they end up not caring about a first round NCHC matchup in SF.
  13. That's assuming Steeves sticks around. He'll get some attention as a 21yo undrafted free agent.
  14. That was my thinking too. BSU, Auggie, St Thomas, etc. Maybe Mankato.
  15. I feel like that has a pretty good shot at happening. Even if UND beats UNO. It's either that, or the committee puts three NCHC teams in one regional, which would suck as well.
  16. Former UND recruit Carter Randklev (from Moorhead) is now in the portal. He's a senior that led Niagara in scoring (11-20-31) this past year.
  17. That seems like a really long lap dance.
  18. Every player practiced at the Ralph today, including Albrecht & Persson. Still no word on which goalie will take the start on Friday. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-not-expecting-to-announce-starting-goaltender-until-friday-afternoon?fbclid=IwAR0ioQFYDoTzCPUFeDpNskIeCzOK628xK8WqhM__QssrW4I0yIbmV1FjDPc
  19. If BU gets sent west because of UMass hosting, maybe some of those eastern hockey writers will change their tune about wanting to keep the regional format as it is now.
  20. Someone on Twitter (X?) mentioned that he has family connections to Providence...so maybe there?
  21. Some interesting stats on Brad's portal page, and also some interesting entrants already. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/the-2024-mens-college-hockey-transfer-portal-tracker This kid has a UND name already, plus he scored some big goals for Northeastern this year: Gunnarwolfe Fontaine, sr, Northeastern, 8-19—27 (NSH pick) 2023 portal numbers 291 Division-I players entered 74.2 percent transferred to new Division-I programs 9.6 percent went Division-III 4.8 percent turned pro after entering 4.8 percent never landed anywhere 2.1 percent stayed with current team 1.4 percent played ACHA club hockey 6 Division-III players moved up to Division-I
  22. I view it as more than the BC guys are surrounded by more offensive talent, so they're all putting up piles of points. No slight intended to OMac or Gaber or Berg, etc, as I feel like one of the greatest strengths of this UND team is their forward depth...whereas BC is more top heavy with their forward talent.
  23. I think hat trick will be Celebrini, Gauthier, and Blake.
  24. We're not supposed to talk about that Denver Frozen Four.
