I don't know if you have it in you, to be honest.

Luckily the search function on the forum makes it pretty easy. Reading thru a couple of them...it seems that many of the same points were being made by the same posters...it's just that they are saying "fire Hak" instead of "fire Berry". From 2006: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/7468-fire-hakstol/#comment-207357 From 2008: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/11462-time-for-the-fire-hakstol-thread/#comment-358190 From 2010: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/13398-dusting-off-an-old-thread-fire-hakstol/#comment-429643 Another from 2010: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/13902-fire-hak/#comment-448826 Another from 2010 (end of season): https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/13872-is-it-time-to-fire-hak/#comment-445735 From 2011: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/15004-fire-head-coach-dave-hakstol/#comment-483425 From 2013: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/18289-time-to-fire-dave-hakstol/#comment-623234 From 2014: https://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/19704-fire-hak-14-15/#comment-728235 I also saw a ton of comments about how he couldn't win the big one, so should be replaced.

Sorry to interrupt the coaching argument. Love the alternate angles on some of these goals...the Ralph sure kicks out some high quality replays. The slo-mo on Boisvert's goal is beautiful...you can just see the velocity and how nicely he picked that top corner. Emery already seems like he bleeds green, just super pumped with every goal & celebration (reminds me of how Parise used to celebrate goals with his enthusiasm).

Some good nuggets from the Providence game: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-will-go-a-full-calendar-year-without-losing-at-home-in-regulation Brett Hextall will be fun to have as a panelist...

We had to shut the Sioux Sports forums down for like a week during that time. It just got too out of control.

Sweetness! Either way, a new season is upon us. I'll remain optimistic that the team can hopefully piece it together at the end. A nice start to the year against a team that will be good this season in HEA. That'll help come PWR time. Now hopefully get a couple wins in Mankato next weekend...
-
I'm all for some wins to start coming in March/April. That said, my comment was just poking fun at the posters that were ready to march Berry out of town last weekend after an exhibition loss.

UNO outshot 54-18 but still win 2-1.
-
UMN and Omaha tied 1-1 in the 3rd. Goofs outshooting them 46-13. Not normally one to cheer for UNO...but go Mavs!
-
Man, ASU with 2 goals in the final minute to force OT. Don't see that too often.
-
MSU gets the split with BC, winning 4-3. I guess BC won't go undefeated to the National Title. Shucks. A day after Lindenwood upsets UW, UW beats them 3-2...but needed OT to do it. Duluth splits with Lowell. WMU sweeps Ferris. Hampton with his 1st collegiate win.

The pitchfork and Fire Berry crew gets silenced for one week at least. Nice win over a solid team!
-
That ENG was all James. Great hustle.
-
Yeah can’t believe Brad let the powerhouse NCAA program Tennessee State steal him away.

Some notes from the Herald on Providence: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-providence

Prob not. They haven’t even scored three goals combined all year.

Hopefully a lot. Maybe partly improved would be my guess (hope).

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
brianvf replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Nice article on Tim Hennessy, now in his 45th (!!!) year of calling UND hockey games: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/tim-hennessy-entering-45th-season-broadcasting-und-hockey-games -
Not a good result for Hockey East if those results all hold up. Certainly not complaining.
-
And AIC up 3-2 on OSU as well. Couple upset alerts tonight.
-
Lindenwood up 3-1 on UW right now.
-
Nice little scuffle in the ASU/MI game after an ASU player leads with an elbow to the head of a MI player after lining him up from across the ice.
-
Nice setup on that 2on1 for MI on that SHG...now up 2-0
