Not the best way to start the game, but hopefully Davidson (and Finehage if Miller can't go) play well. And we can hope that we have everyone (Gregoire, Toews, Miller, Trupp, etc) back at 100% heading into Madison next week...

According to Brad, Gregoire got nicked up in the Sat game. So Kozek moves up to the top line and Davidson will take Kozek's spot on the 4th line. Also, Miller is a question mark too. Finehage is warming up in case Miller can't play. Ouch.

I think Trupp earned his way back to the 2nd line. He had a good game yesterday. I guess the goal that deflected in off of Civitarese cost him a lineup spot.

Sounds like another UW recruit didn't pan out. According to Chuck Schwartz on USCHO, there is a rumor that goalie recruit Crandall was told that Eaves no longer had a scholarship offer for him. Crandall was having a horrible year in the USHL, and with Bennett from BU joining them next year, I guess Eaves didn't want him anymore. All of this stuff is going to catch up to Eaves at some point. If I was a parent with a kid that was being recruited by UW, all of these de-commitments from both players and the coaching staff would make me think twice about even considering UW. Of course, my kid would be pro-Sioux/anti-Badger to begin with, but you get the point.

More than likely either MTU or UAA. But there is also still the chance that we could play MSUM or UMN if we finish in 3rd.

Agreed, especially with a home regional this year. Then all it takes it two home wins and they're at the F4. No, I would much rather see both UMN and BC miss the NCAA's this year.

The Sioux are still 9th in PWR (tied for 8th, but lose in RPI to UNH). The Gophers have not clinched home ice yet, that was just the Gopher homers already assuming that they will sweep MTU next weekend. UMN could still finish anywhere from 3rd to 8th in the league.

The Sioux get some help from UAA. The Seawolves sweep UAF, beating them 3-0 tonight.

Or less, depending on what happens in the CC/DU game next weekend.

If the Sioux win tomorrow, they would only need 1 point in Madison to clinch at least a share of the MacNaughton...two points would give it to them outright. Go Sioux!!!

It might be pointless to cheer for SCSU. They're not even getting shots on net, let alone goals. I have a feeling that we won't be getting any help from them... Time for the Sioux to take care of business against CC tomorrow, and then sweep the struggling BADgers. Then it won't matter what DU does.

Still 0-0 in the DU/SCSU game at the start of the 2nd. The first period was equal chances with lots of penalties.

Sounds like it took the refs about 5min to decide that too...

Or the entire top CC line. Walsky and Rau both looked good. As did Sweatt. If you shutdown those three players, I believe the Sioux can get the 2 points tomorrow. Easier said than done...

And I like that 4th line of Kozek/Mario/Trupp. Trupp the playmaker, Kozek the sniper, Mario the grinder.

Good to see Evan in the lineup...hopefully he's fully healed up and doesn't reinjure his shoulder/arm. It will be interesting to see how UND matches up against that big CC line of Lampl/Rau/Walsky.

DU is keeping the pressure on, so the Sioux have to respond now against CC tomorrow afternoon. I really hope that SCSU can take a point or two from DU tomorrow night, but DU was clearly the better team tonight, so that will prove difficult. UW is tanking hard. Hopefully they can play like that when the Sioux come to Madison.
