  1. They do certainly have a thing for Fairchild don't they? Them putting BU at #3 and SCSU at #10 is quite humorous.
  2. http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/117121 Thanks Taylor!
  3. He's still upset about the BMT great debate.
  4. I dig the black Nike Swift jerseys, but I don't think that I would want all three jersey colors in the Swift style. It's cool just to have them in reserve, for those "special" games that Hak likes to save them for.
  5. Dude, we won the MacNaughton!
  6. Denver will be the pre-season favorite to win the WCHA. The Bozak loss is huge, but if they keep Rahkshani, Ruegsegger, Wiercioch, and Colborne, they'll be very good. I still think the Sioux can take them ( ), but DU will be contending for both WCHA trophies at the end of the season once again.
  7. Denver: Still loaded. http://blogs.denverpost.com/sports/2009/04...and-wear-the-c/
  8. I don't know, I thought VV skated around UNH dmen pretty nicely for his two goals in the UNH NCAA game.
  9. Forney has two years of eligibilty remaining if he plays at UND. Only one year if he goes elsewhere. Wow, that's hoping for alot. I don't think Forney would be a waste of a roster spot if he ended up on the 3rd/4th line. Heck, he could take Kozek's spot on the 4th line and add some offensive balance.
  10. I didn't read it that way at all. Sure, the Oilers told him that he should come back, but who's to say that he wouldn't have wanted to come back regardless of what the Oilers told him? It's a big decision for a young man, and he is taking into account what he, his parents, the Oilers, the UND coaching staff, and his advisor have to say on the matter.
  11. Whooo, that would be excellent!
  12. From the updated Herald article:

  14. Wow, took him long enough to announce it. And, yeah, the Fowler de-committing from Notre Dame was awhile ago. Big loss for them with their recruiting class.
  15. Did you stop watching him after around Xmas time? I thought he progressed very well (along with Marto) right around the same time that the Sioux picked up their play as a team. Coincidence?
  16. Then it must have been Kevin Costner that yelled "there's no crying in baseball!".
  17. Yes, I do it all the time (my taping skills haven't reached HS level yet). If I were to have a pro tape my stick, I can only imagine the outcome.
  18. His taping skills are NHL-caliber already?
  19. Mattson and Team USA advance to the Gold medal game after beating Canada, 2-1. They will play Russia, who beat Finland 4-0, and apparently weren't very sportsmanlike in their win. Surprise, surprise. According to Brad, they were skating past the Finn bench after each goal and taunting them. The refs had to try to block them after the first couple times... Go USA, beat those Russians!
  20. What does a woman skating like a monkey have to do with LaPoint? I think a lot of the complaints about LaPoint's play was early on in the season. I think that by the time Xmas rolled around, he had really started to play better, and Hakstol mentioned that quite a bit about his improved play as the season progressed. By the time his injury occurred, he was one of our better defensive dmen and better PK'ers, which definitely hurt us after the Mankato series IMO.
  21. And it has begun...Chuck is reporting that Tom Bardis, a junior forward that only played in three games last season, has been released from the UW team. Now we just have to wonder who the next player is...
