Someone earlier was wondering what number Tomek will be at UND:

I'm actually not too worried.
Tomek is a very highly regarded recruit and Johnson is more than capable if splitting starting duties.
Many teams have success using freshman goalies. Many teams have won titles with freshman goalies.
We'll be fine.
No doubt.
I seem to recall the Frattin/Trupp/Malone senior year having a pretty decent PP, but they were pretty good in all facets of the game that year. But that was a long time ago now.
Hopefully Shaw can bring in some new energy and a different look for the PP. We certainly have the players that can set it up (NSchmaltz) and hopefully bang it home (Boeser/Cags/LJ).
Not that this is any big surprise...but Matthews has officially ruled out going NCAA for next season.
Now just down to WHL or Europe:

He has a son, but he's not much of a hockey player. We played pond hockey with him at University Park during the WJC tourney when it was in GF.
I think he's a very good baseball player though.
Much like the Brad Berry hire when Hakstol replaced Eades with Berry, this job posting looks like it was written specifically for someone that the coaching staff has in mind.

Article about the recruits reaction to the Hakstol/Berry coaching change.
IF Schmaltz does come back for another year, our d-corps is once again going to be very talented and almost "too" deep.
I'd love to see what Poolman could do with a full year on the blueline instead of playing forward again...
He's the guy that originally tweeted the news about Schmaltz.
Once you saw that on the Twitter-sphere, you came on here and reported the same news a few minutes later and tried to pass it off as your own.
It's ok, this whole day has you spiraling a bit...
