Michigan cancelled it's GLI game against WMU scheduled for Thursday due to health protocols within the UM program. Oddly enough, their game against MTU on Wednesday is not cancelled though. Maybe UM (without a few of their star players) is scared to face off against a really talented WMU team, so they just cancelled that game.

Yeah the Slovaks pulled their way back in there during the 3rd. A win is a win but certainly wasn't the most dominating display.

Agreed. Plus the whole unknown with their quarantine time. Seems like a sketchy situation even attempting to go over there.

We’d have two less games. They come to GF for a series. It wouldn’t hurt our ranking necessarily but it’s a nice opportunity to improve if UND were to win.

We'll see if Cornell plays their planned games against ASU or not (scheduled for the week prior to our series with them on Jan 1/2). If they play ASU, then I'd bet we'd be ok for our series against them. If they cancel against ASU, then who knows.

Just hoping for no more Sanderson injuries/illnesses in the 2nd half. The boys have done well in the times that he's been out of the lineup, but we'll need him if UND wants to make a postseason run.

Hell of a game from Saville from UNO. Gets the shutout with 41 saves against WMU, which included 6 WMU PP chances. That's impressive against WMU's potent offense.

Agreed. Starts with a Cornell team with only one loss all season. And then 2x series against both Omaha and Western. If the PWR stays anywhere at all close to what it is now...will probably result in a ton of all-NCHC regional finals (especially if the committee puts them all in the same regionals to avoid the dreaded all-NCHC frozen 4). Currently the NCHC has 2x one seeds and 3x two seeds. That first goal of his tonight was sweet. Carried it with a ton of speed, nice deke near center ice and then gets the goal surrounded by all five CC players. Beauty of a goal to tie it up.

So they have two players out and then lose to OSU by 5 goals? They must not be that deep in talent evidently.

I really didn't think this team had a shot at the NCHC regular season title, but with how much other teams keep beating up on each other, anything's possible.

His save % of .889 is certainly not ideal. Still half the season to steadily turn that number around.
