But...but...three Hobey Baker award finalists!!
-
I am thinking that Stecher stays for his senior season. He's definitely talented enough to make the jump, and he's one of the best players and leaders that we have on our current team. But he just strikes me as a guy that totally buys into the Sioux culture and wants to be playing a part of it for as long as he can. We've seen it a few times...guys talented enough to leave early, but stay because "they'd stay at UND for longer if they could".
-
Hey, did you guys know that Anas is injured? Hadn't heard that before just now. Wonder if he'll be able to play at the F4.
-
I wonder if DU will bring their 7 fans to Tampa?
-
Lowell just doesn't look like a great hockey team. Lot of mistakes and turnovers. QU looks decent, but I think much of that can be attributed to Lowell's play IMO. We'll see how the QU/BC game goes, but I think BC takes them.
-
UND will get last line change against both DU and BC, but not against QU. I like having last line against DU...can match up the Heavy Line against Heinen's line and then throw the CBS against their 2nd or 3rd line.
-
I'm trying to make this work too. First have to convince the pregnant wife that she can handle the kids for another hockey trip.
-
I've never had an issue getting tickets at the Frozen Four, and I only went once with tickets (Milwaukee...and good thing too with UW in it and winning). The other years there was always a ton of available tickets. With it being in Tampa again, I doubt it will be an issue.

Boo. Still two HEA teams remaining from the original six.
-
Go Yale! Down with HEA! I have no idea who to root for between UMD and BC. I want neither to make it to the F4. I'd like to see NCHC take down HEA (again), but UMD fans are pretty obnoxious, especially after their NC win.

Just have to try to contain the CCM line as best as possible. I know UND has had some difficulty shutting down big opposing lines earlier this season (DU's, CC's, etc), but I think they can get it done. They have the best d-corps in the country and they need to show that tomorrow. Look at ND's gameplan from today, worked to perfection except that they couldn't take advantage of the large number of offensive chances that the Michigan defense gave them. Go Sioux, let's do this! Take down the Wolverines, avenge some past demons from the Frattin year, and on to Tampa!
-
Definitely. I don't remember a player that has come back in the neutral zone to just take a puck away from opposing players so often. He does it 2-3 times per game and it is a huge benefit to transition back into offense for the CBS line.
-
Harvard is amazing at shooting directly into opposing players' legs. The BC defenders just stand there and block it.
-
I think it has more to do with Harvard's dmen look incredibly slow. How many times can they get beaten to the outside? Melrose has such a chubby for BC, it's quite humorous.
-
I would agree. I just don't want to see the Connor line light it up with a little more space. ND was all over them all game and they only managed to break out at the end. Granted, if the UM defense plays like it did against ND, it might not matter. I'm hoping for a nice beatdown to avenge the Frattin senior year, end the B10 season, and propel this team to the F4!
-
Now if only Harvard could win...Hockey East could have 4 of their 6 teams gone after one day!
-
That was a horribly long review for a puck that didn't even come within a foot of the net.
-
Saved by a golden helmet.
-
Wow is Michigan's defense horrible. They just run around. Notre Dame should have 2-3 more goals right now.
-
Compher stoned on a breakaway.
-
These two teams are turnover machines. Just throw it away with no care.
-
Maybe a big push from the CCM line this period? They've been non-existent all game. Credit to ND defense for bottling them up.
-
Watching this UM/ND game, I like our chances regardless of opponent. Anything can happen, but if UND plays like they did against NE I think they'll be ok.
-
Notre Dame getting some chances after it was all UM to start.
-
End of 1st, 0-0 between UMD and Prov Duluth looked good.
