  1. Brad mentioned that Forbort isn't injured, just ill right now. Probably from too much travel. Hopefully he feels better quickly, we need his presence in the lineup (weird to say that about a frosh dman)...
  2. Article on Matteau's commitment: http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/181281/group/Sports/ Welcome aboard!
  3. Agreed. If the Sioux can rattle him early either game, there's really nothing Gwoz can do. I can't imagine him pulling the goalie and putting a 3rd string goalie into the game that's never played a minute of NCAA hockey.
  4. Doesn't Seth Jones' brother go to Denver now? I think I read that he is a freshman this year, but is having issues getting NCAA approval or something, so he hasn't played a game yet.
  5. I could see JT Miller being a 2012 recruit instead of 2011. If we're still in the running for Michaelson (like it sounds we are), then I imagine he wouldn't come until 2013 as well since he is still only a junior in HS...finish out HS and then a year of juniors potentially. Should be interesting. Nice to have all these talented players incoming regardless.
  6. Wow! Hak and Co are on fire with all these USNTDP recruits!! Nicely done!! Considering that we lose 4 forwards to graduation and potentially another 2 forwards to early departures, I think there is room for everyone. I still think Mattson will be coming to UND in the fall.
  7. I wouldn't mind seeing that line combo. Hextall is a grittier player too, would fit in better on the third line and he would still be a scoring threat. Something like this: 19 Evan Trupp
  8. Poster du78 on USCHO posted this earlier today: Tough loss on Shore, he's a talented player. With Murray out, that means freshman Brittain will be in net both days. His only road action all season was in VT, so it will be interesting to see how he handles the hostile environment.
  9. Will this be the weekend that Kristo finally emerges?
  10. He is back in the lineup. He's only played in two games since returning from his injury after getting injured in the very first game. There are a ton of NCAA recruits (especially SCSU and WCHA) on that Penticton team. Laleggia (DU dman recruit) appears to be a stud, he is easily leading the team in points, which is mighty impressive for a dman! http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/stats_1team.cfm?leagueID=2393&clientID=1413&teamid=224101
  11. UND falls to 8th in the USCHO poll: 1 Wisconsin ( 8) 6-0-0 143 1 2 Cornell ( 7) 2-0-0 139 2 3 Minnesota-Duluth 5-1-0 115 4 4 Mercyhurst 5-1-0 109 3 5 Boston University 6-1-0 91 5 6 Boston College 5-0-1 63 7 6 Minnesota 5-2-0 63 8 8 North Dakota 5-3-0 41 6 9 Harvard 0-0-0 28 9 10 Ohio State 4-2-0 14 10
  12. Nice, 5 UND recruits make it on the USA WJAC team! http://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=85102
  13. Well that blows. Back to work next weekend. At least we are at home. Bring on the Pios.
  14. Women's Hockey Score: UND 5 MSUM 1 FINAL They rebound nicely to get the split... JoLam with the hatty.
  15. Sioux get the split against MSUM, 5-1. Nice rebound, ladies!
  16. I hope not, being that they have one loss on the season.
  17. Exactly. Control what you can control and at least put up an effort worthy of the Sioux uniform. If we get swept, we can look back at this in April as just another learning experience as we hang #8.
  18. Sounds like they really outplayed them too for the most part... http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/180523/group/Sports/
  19. 4-2 loss tonight against unranked MSUM. That's a big letdown, especially with all the ranked opponents that they've beaten recently...
  20. I would love to get Michaelson and Knochenmus on board. I find it odd that Schroeder isn't getting interest from UMN? For anyone that has seen him play, how does he compare in talent to his brother?
  21. Simon Danis-Pepin was the big guy from Maine that Oshie checked. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=92206
  22. Hey now, Robert Morris is 4-0 to start this season, beating some decent teams in OSU and Air Force.
