  1. Hey look, it's the Gopher poster that posts on SS.com instead of GPL!
  2. Yes, it will be a bit different once they aren't playing a cupcake.
  3. Yep, he had both UMN goals. He's really started the year well for them. Also, Haula (frosh from Finland) has at least 3 assists (this season)...he looks to be a good one. 5min PP for UMN now. This could get ugly...UMass doesn't look too good to begin with. EDIT: Barribal hatty. Now 3-0 UMN
  4. And then another call on us, but UND kills off both. Now a UND PP.
  5. Wow, that is amazing after the butt-kicking that UNO put on Clarkson yesterday.
  6. Go Sioux! A game with very strong implications in the PWR if UAF has a good season as some predict. Take it to 'em Sioux, and don't let up at all (even if you have a 4-goal lead).
  7. This is more like it. Rowney after a great effort from Gregoire. 4-1
  8. DU, UMN, SCSU all won. UNO killed Clarkson. UMD skated to a 6-6 tie with LSSU. UW lost to BU, got the potential tying goal disallowed with under a min to play.
  9. Great play by Chay to pass it there. UND PP looking decent...or at least scoring. End of 1. 2-1 UND
  10. Probably. I couldn't get it to work in Firefox, but it works on IE.
  11. The cowbells and horn are highly annoying.
  12. Welcome to life in the WCHA, UNO. They beat Clarkson, 8-0, while outshooting them 60-26.
  13. Now we just have to see if they will PLAY like a good team.
  14. Ouch, watch out for that 2nd d-pairing too. Blood and Forbort. Couple of big boys there.
  15. Wow, that is nice. Maine looks like it will be a good challenge for UND in a couple weeks, they are crushing UMass Lowell 6-1 in only the 2nd period. Tech is beating Northern, good to see. Lots of offense in the UMD/LSSU game. Three of UMD's four goals scored by their heavy hitters...I'm guessing that they will live and die by that line this year.
  16. This is very interesting: http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/id,18863/DismissedbyBostonUniversitySaponarisayshesmovingtoBC.html Hard to imagine a player transferring to a big rival school like that... That would be like Frattin moving on to play for the Gophers after his incident last season.

  18. It's been awhile since the Sioux have had this much talented depth at forward (and defense, but that is another topic entirely). It's a far cry from the days of one uber-line (DOT, Money Line, Line of Fire) and then a decent dropoff. Each of those lines has a probable 20+ goal scorer (Frattin, Gregoire, Kristo) and the top two even have other potential 20-goal scorers as well (Trupper, Malone, Hextall). It really isn't even that far fetched when you look at their goal totals from last season: Gregoire - 20 Kristo - 15 (missed 2 games) Hextall - 14 (missed 9 games) Frattin - 11 (missed 19 games) Malone - 11 Trupp - 8 Malone and Trupper might be long shots for 20 goals, but when you take into consideration that they both really took off later in the season, especially once that line started to gel with those two and Frattin...it's not as big of a stretch. Do I really think that we will have 6 20-goal scorers? Absolutely not, but I think that this team has the potential to be something special and score a ton of goals. It could be a special season, let's hope that they can play up to their potential!
  19. Gregoire for Friday night.
  20. Well, Lethbridge is known as a hockey power, so that's explainable. Lethbridge played CC, DU, and AFA all in a row this weekend and only managed to beat DU. It sounds (and looks) like DU's goalie didn't exactly play too well.
