Great to see both Gage and Simo get their firsts of the season tonight!
-
I watched entire game with no issues until it went out in the 3rd.
-
Avery Peterson, transfer from UNO who was able to play again for UMD at midseason, got his first goal tonight. He should be a good addition for them...I remember he had skill at UNO. Wasn't Riley Tufte supposed to be a freshman phenom for UMD? He got his first point of the season tonight...an assist on Peterson's goal.

Ended up with a hat trick in a 6-2 win!

It seems the boys have a new goal celebration routine...when they skate by the bench after the goal, they angle their wrist down all funny for the "handshake". Just watching the goal replays on NCHC, and they all did it. Wonder what the story is behind that.

So Brock's wrist feels better, I take it?

University of North Dakota Hockey 2016 - 2017 Season

It certainly isn't the first time that Chambers has written an article as "fact" simply because of a hunch that he has. It also won't be the last. He's been wrong more often that not. I'm trying to remember a few years ago when he was making a tentative roster for the upcoming season for DU, and he had like three blue chipper recruits as coming in to play for DU...none of which ended up going to DU. One of them ended up going to UND. I can't recall the year or the player (how old am I?), but I got a good laugh out of that one, as did many other posters on here. -
Agreed. Union has their huge top line and we're without our two biggest offensive weapons. That said, let's go get 'em UND!
-
Good planning on Union's part for scheduling UND and BU.

They have work together to take down Taco! -
Union has 3 losses at the end of the 1st half. I'd say that makes them a quality club. They'll be a tough team to beat....even tougher knowing that Jost and Boeser will both be out. Northeastern did to MSU what UND should have done.

Princeton is all of a sudden on a tear after starting crappy.

Pics or it didn't happen. -
Yes. This 1000x over. Our special teams is ridiculously bad. WMU was essentially trying to give UND the game tonight with all those penalties. Just have the coaches watch some PP film from SCSU or UMN or something...they seem to always have good PP.

Heard the same thing...sounds like it's a done deal.

From Schloss today: Good for him. Would be awesome to see him get some playing time at WJC. -
But agreed, we could use another dman recruit...a little light currently.
-
Expect to see more of this...don't the Badgers have something like 374 recruits lined up for the next 3 seasons? They're handing out scholarship offers like Obama Phones over in Madison.

A defending national champion joke. Not to dismiss PSU at all, but Michigan isn't exactly looking like a powerhouse thus far this season. And before we give the title to the Nittany Lions, we have to remember that they've played 9 of their 14 games against Niagara, Alaska Anchorage, Canisius, Arizona State, and Mercyhurst. That's a brutally easy SOS. It'll be interesting to watch the rest of their season to see how it goes...and to see how far they can make it in the NCAA's.

Schloss posted that Brock is doubtful for the BC game too. -
BC beat Northeastern 2-1 tonight, scoring the shorthanded GWG with 23 sec left in the game.

Nice, excellent weekly reminder. It's too bad for the B10 that the PWR also includes SOS in the calculation, which lowers the rank of the B10 teams due to all the AHA opponents they've played. If the season ended today and the top 16 teams were in the dance, NCHC would have 5 teams, including 3 of the #1 seeds. No biased opinion there either, just fact.
