Sorry, you always get so mad at other teams recruits or gaining a recruit.
Can't win them all, and we don't want to win them all. It'd be quite the logjam.
I think they'd still avoid it though if they easily can.
We'll see how much more movement there is still in the last couple weeks.
I'd rather avoid UMN in the 2nd round, but I'd take MTU for a first round opponent...old WCHA foe!
Couldn't have 6 vs 11 in round 1, as they are both NCHC teams.
In that scenario, it'd be easy to flip 10/11 and put UMass vs WMU in Loveland and UMD vs ND in Worcester.
Or flip 6/7 to keep two UMass schools in Worcester for attendance.
Caulfield and Driscoll have been the most noticeable improved since the losing streak ended.
Can they give Driscoll the NCHC Goalie of the Week award for the 4th week in a row?
Only potential candidates are Driscoll or Hrenak from SCSU.
Hrenak allowed 3 goals on 42 shots against the 7th place team.
Driscoll allowed 3 goals on 58 shots against the 3rd place team.
Seems like a no-brainer decision to me.
No, we're 4 pts up. DU needs to sweep and we would need to lose either both games or lose one game outright / lose other in OT/SO.
If we win one game at UNO, we win Penna regardless of what DU does.
This weekend turned out much better than I had expected for the NCHC standings.
I anticipated us splitting with WMU and DU sweeping UNO.
So for us to sweep WMU and DU to drop a game to UNO was a great result.
Now have a four point lead heading into the last weekend.
One win next weekend against UNO and it's clinched.
Go get it boys!
Hopefully we get a couple injured players back.
