  1. That is a very strong group of forwards & dmen. Not sure about the goalie Nedeljkovic, but Demko has not impressed me in the games that I've seen BC play this year. Hopefully goaltending isn't a weakness for this team.
  2. If ever there was a must sweep OOC series, this is it. Go Sioux, pummel them both nights.
  3. Ouch. Northeastern? They outshot UMN by a good chunk too. UW finally gets that elusive first W.
  4. They lost to Bottineau. Fire brreewits and schmiddts? Simple questoin.
  5. I still think he plays this weekend. Sucks about OD being out now as well.
  6. The first game in Jack Eichel's college career where he has not registered a point.
  7. Great, now we have to worry for the next 5 months about being a bubble team!
  8. Lucia quote: "I don't need no stinkin' gentleman's agreement!"
  9. I like it. Wouldn't mind a home sweep right about now. Would be great to win a couple before hosting a weaker LSSU team.
  10. 1. I do like winning national titles. 2. I would say that if Hakstol doesn't win one before his current contract is up, that UND needs to potentially be looking at some candidates that could help get it done. Simple question: How many years do you give him?
  11. You don't think that some parity has happened in NCAA hockey since that time? Just a coincidence that prior to Holy Cross knocking off UMN, that no #4 seed had ever beaten a #1 seed...but now it happens almost every single year? Doesn't strike you as odd that three of the last four national title teams won their first title (Union, Yale, UMD)...yet before those three the last team to win their first title was Maine in 1993? I am in full agreement that UND has had the horses to win a title in recent years, but just hasn't gotten it done. That said, I do honestly believe that it was "easier" to win a title in the 80's/90's/early 00's...back in those days there were 10 teams most years that had a realistic chance of winning the title. Now that could probably be expanded to 20-25 different teams each year.
  12. I don't dislike any Sioux fan, whether they be a Hak Hater or a Blais Hater or a (slightly harder to find) Rube Bjorkman Hater. And I've got nothing but love for Blais. He is, as you said, a legend at UND (much like his predecessor).
  13. I bet Schmaltz plays this weekend. Then the rest can just sort itself out.
  14. It's similar to the Hakstol-haters, I would guess. Most of them just pine for Blais to return, thinking that he would right the ship instantly and bring UND 4 national titles in the next 6 years. It's just not realistic. Much like the Fire Hakstol thread getting started after the first loss of the season. I see all the "cheap shots" as just some posters making fun of the "Bring Dean Back" posters.
  15. His comment makes no sense at all. They scored 4 goals, it's not like they blasted Duluth for 11 goals like Vermont did to Massachusetts on Saturday night. It's not a question of if they'll score on Zane, I'm sure they will...but his comment was humorous. And he loses all credibility anyway with that statement. Especially because of this: http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1415/boxes/mnabuno1.o06 Kenny Cameron from Northern Alberta would disagree with you, Ortega.
  16. Saturday night thread starter letdown. Simple statement. Poolman at forward. Didn't expect to see that. Good to see Mac back at center. We need him to win some draws.
  17. Did you guys know that the line was going to be used in the movie (permission from the Spiewak family), or was it just a nice little surprise?
  18. Everyone loves playing hockey in a dry heat.
