Yes, he's quite the blue-chipper. Scored 15g in 59 games with the Lancers last season as a 19yo. Denver had an open forward spot (so does UMN), so just needed a body. I would guess UMN will pickup another older forward recruit before the season starts too.

We’re in his final three supposedly, so we can cross our fingers.

Yeah I read BU and UMN as well in a couple places. That'd be a big get considering the weeks that those other two schools have had. Full court press, Berry!

A few notes from watching that vid: David Hoogsteen standing next to Sweeney...hilarious! Hoogsteen comes up to Sweeney's neck. How did someone get a live gopher into the arena and then hold onto it for 2.5 periods? Beautiful pokecheck by Goehring to breakup a great UMN chance at the 26min mark. And that setup the gorgeous Panzer from Panzer 2-on-1 goal immediately after. Debus made a few really good saves after it got to 3-3...it was all UND. Kauk appearance at the 36min mark. Man, were Blake and the Panzer bros fun to watch...so fast and skilled.

Are you basing this on the fact that there isn’t a recruit that committed on Aug 1st? Not many programs got a commitment today especially compared to last year. And there is still a ton of great recruits available.

If true, I wonder if they lose any players and/or recruits due to the fallout.

It says in the article that he was contacted by 30-40 schools. I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that some of those interested schools were UM, UMN, Bostons, etc being that he was approached by 2/3rds of all NCAA D1 schools.
