I'm guessing they'll win their last four games. I just can't see them dropping any games to UNO or CC, even if they're on the road for 3 of those games. Which means we'll need to win out in order to win the Penna Rosa. I see us winning 3 of the last 4 games...I'd love to see us sweep WMU, but they're a strong team and better than UMD. So that would put us just a couple points behind DU for the regular season title. I'd honestly be ok with that if it played out that way, even if I'd love to see them win the Penna title again. With how much this team lost this offseason, and how many ups and downs they had during the season...it'd be damn impressive finishing in the top 2 of the strongest league in the NCAA's and they'd be set up well for the tourney.

The teams battling for first were predicted to finish 3rd/4th and the teams predicted to finish 1st / 2nd are fighting for the final home ice spot. Crazy how off SCSU has been lately. I know these media polls are seldom right (remember the year Miami was predicted to win the league and they finished last?), but I think most people expected SCSU to be pretty dominant this year with all they were returning. They still have time to make noise in the tourney, but the regular season sure didn't pan out as expected.

Weird that some of the Olympic players already made it back, but others haven't. Sanderson and Cates missed the UMD/UND series (I know Sandy's injured too). But Hentges from SCSU made it back in time to play tonight's game against UNO and scored a goal.

It's because we didn't play a B10 team. All the talent goes there. So UND vs UMD is two untalented teams facing off against each other. Then it all comes down to coaching. And Berry outcoached the crap out of Sandelin this weekend, it appears.
