  1. Ouch. That is a major loss for DU.
  2. The Brotherhood is young for the future dynasty next season.
  3. http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/it-really-looks-like-first-rounder-clayton-keller-is-sticking-with-ncaa-route/ Still sounding like Keller (and other high-end BU recruits) are still NCAA-bound.
  4. No doubt. Helps that Brad is about 1000x better than Dilks as well.
  5. It certainly is nice to go through an off-season completely content. So relaxing compared to past years when the team was very good but just fell short. Sure we lost five players to the pros. Sure we lost a great senior class. But what a year we had. And it will be another great season coming up. What a great summer to be a Fighting Sioux fan!
  6. We had the best defense in all of college hockey last year by a decent margin IMO, and not a single 1st rounder among them. That said, BU's incoming class is easily the best in the nation this year, and probably one of the best recruiting classes of all time. The flip side of that is that not all of them will adjust to college hockey as easily as Boeser or Connor did this year. Keller is certainly the real deal and will have a monster year. BU will have a good team next year but the negative for them is that they better hope they win it all in 16/17 because at least half of their studs will be gone after one season.
  7. Not only keeping up, but we are the best. National Champs baby!

  9. http://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=103356 Championship banner going up Oct 1st before the exhibition game. EDIT: stoney beat me to it.
  10. Best of luck to Nick in the NHL! He really transformed himself into an elite college player in his two seasons. What a big jump in between his fr and so seasons...an amazing passer and backchecker with crazy soft hands. Thanks for being a huge part in hanging #8, Nick!
  11. I'm bummed that he signed, but it makes it easier being that they are leaving champions.
  12. Sugar beet or beetroot?
  13. I hear that there is a sweet bicycle shop right down the I-10 from that arena.
  14. Haha, and there it is. Everything you've posted is a biased opinion as well. As I said earlier, you'll never convince us that the CHL is superior, and it seems we'll never convince you. So there you go.
  15. This all sounds eerily similar to the NCAA vs NTDP exhibition games that you were saying college programs "give it their best" for despite sitting top players and playing backup goalies. Fact: Yet despite Schmaltz being on a "lower" line, he still tied the all-powerful Dvorak in points. Fact: Tkachuk's point total had more to do with Matthews than anything. Spin it how you want man, but UND still beats London in a 7 game series. Fact.
  16. And yet Schmaltz finished the tourney tied with Dvorak in points...despite his playing the 3rd line while Dvorak was on the 2nd. Boeser and Schmaltz were paired together at the WJC because of their chemistry on the same line at UND. The order of the lines means nothing. If it did, then how the heck did lowly Schmaltz manage to tie mighty Dvorak in points? Must have been luck.
  17. I'm not sure why you're being so persistent with this. You're on a UND message board trying to convince us that your Knights would take it to the best team that UND has put on the ice in many years. You're not going to convince us just like we're not going to convince you. Best of luck to you, good sir.
  18. I didn't realize that hockey was a one line game. What about the depth of the next 3 lines or the d-corps? If London and UND played, Berry would put the heavy line against the Tkuchuk line to shut them down much like they did against the Connor line from UM and the Heinen line from DU. Tkuckuk would be ticked about the lack of space...he's used to just being free to dangle around the offensive zone...and take some sweet penalties. Stecher would then blast a couple one-timers on the PP to put London down by two entering the 2nd period. The CBS line would destroy whatever 16/17 year old kids they got matched up against on the 2nd or 3rd line and UND wins by 4+.
  19. BU is typically a very good NCAA team, but would certainly have not been considered elite this past season. Next year they will be stacked with 1st round talent, but this year they were a few levels below after Eichel left. BU got absolutely throttled to end their season by a team that had their season ended by UND shortly afterwards. And your exhibition game comment shows that you've never actually watched a NCAA exhibition game.
  20. Those games are exhibitions for the NCAA teams, and they play them as such. Many of the NCAA teams sit their higher end players or guys needing a break/recover from injury. You'll also see many backup goalies being played and lines experimented with during the games against the NTDP. I think the NTDP team could play a good series with London. On the other hand, I think the elite NCAA teams like UND, DU, etc would take care of London pretty consistently...similar to the UND scores against QU, NE, and UM this NCAA tourney. I don't think London would be prepared for the hard defensive game of the NCAA teams...from the CHL games I've seen it seems very loose and the skilled offensive players are pretty much allowed to do whatever they want. That wouldn't happen in a game against the NCAA. Not to mention the age and experience advantage of the NCAA teams.
  21. London wouldn't be able to handle UND's defense (both their defensive and offensive play).
  22. Hope we can continue our streak of getting 1st round draft picks to stay for 2 or 3 years.
  23. That whole play for the 4th goal was beautiful. LaDue's picture perfect pass from behind his own goal line. Boeser catching the pass in stride on his backhand. Cags following the play all alone and then sniping it.
