  1. Or for sure. But not "cancel all hope for the season" stuff. UND is still a quality team this year, just has to shore up some issues. Have to consider their competition in those 4 games as well...QU and UMN are both legit Frozen Four teams and UND is playing them back to back very early in the season.
  2. For the team or for some of the forum member's mental stability?
  3. NCHC OOC results tonight so far (3-4-0): SCSU 3 - MSUM 2 (impressive win, SCSU remains undefeated) DU 4 - Providence 1 (Providence's first loss) Miami 5 - Canisius 3 Notre Dame 2 - WMU 0 UAF 3 - UNO 2 UMN 3 - UND 2 (boo) UW 5 - UMD 2 (UW's first win of the season) ASU leads CC 4-3 with 14min left in game.
  4. Agreed. DeRidder won’t be able to keep it that close two games in a row. Tonight was their chance.
  5. Not good OOC night shaping up for the NCHC yet again.
  6. Said after 5 games, 3 of which have been played against top 10 teams.
  7. Yeah that was an odd comment. Especially as a ND resident who attended UND (along with most of my HS graduating class).
  8. You might be setting yourself up for disappointment expecting a road sweep of the #1 team but we’ll see.
  9. Yes. We were also outplayed & outshot in the first game too against Princeton (IIRC) but beat them just because we had the more talented players.
  10. Geez. Neither of those make sense to me. Of course, I don’t get paid the big bucks. Hoping Judd can break out of his funk on the big sheet.
  11. Yep, loudest post shot I've ever heard too. And I was sitting upper level. It sure shut up the Badger fans sitting around us that we giving us a bunch of crap in the 2nd intermission when we were down 2-0.
  12. There was. Also the nickname for Sault Ste Marie, MI, the home of LSSU.
  13. I don't really have a great feeling heading into this series after seeing our defensive and goaltending lapses against QU. UMN has more offensive studs than QU does (although I'd argue QU might be deeper). I wouldn't be shocked at a loss or two. But would love to be surprised. Prove me wrong, boys!
  14. Ever hear of a place called the Soo?
  15. Thurs Night hockey action: OSU 9 - Bentley 2 (former UND recruit Halliday with a hattrick of assists and now leads the team in points as a frosh) PSU 6 - STU 2 (PSU remains undefeated at 5-0-0)
  16. Six players to watch in the UND/UMN series: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/six-players-who-could-make-a-difference-in-the-und-minnesota-rivalry-series Condensed version - Senden, Blake, Frisch from UND Cooley, Knies, Snuggerud from UMN

  18. RIP Earl. Hopefully Ben can get a goal or two this weekend in his honor.

  20. Some Tues night hockey action: Holy Cross 7 - AIC 3 (HC 1st win of the season) Merrimack 6 - UNH 1 Canisius 3 - RPI 2 (RPI 1st loss of the season) Northeastern 3 - BC 3 OT (BC stud freshman Gauthier playing his 1st game, also gets his 1st goal)
  21. Agreed at this point, unfortunately. I was hoping he'd breakout a bit and have a big senior year, but I'm not seeing it yet. Through 4 games he has the same number of penalties (3) as shots on goal (3) and zero points. Not the best stat line thus far.
