  1. Going from Notre Dame to Providence is an odd choice, but whatever works for the kid. Hopefully Berry can get in his ear this weekend and show him around the arena, maybe sway him our way!
  2. It's all super close between #2-6 in the PWR, lots of movement from minor results like Michigan's tie yesterday and UMD's OT loss tonight. All between 54-56 comparisons won with RPI between .5916 (Michigan at #6) and .5965 (Denver at #2). With UND, UMD, and WMU sandwiched in the middle there.
  3. Mankato leads Duluth 1-0 after 2
  4. They never played on back to back nights though in those days, did they? There's no way the players could manage that type of fatigue.
  5. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2021/12/29_Amid-Tumultuous-Week,-Michigan.php So they had a full frickin' lineup (except not having an extra skater...the horror!), but for some reason couldn't play tomorrow with that exact same full lineup of players. I'm glad Michigan is getting pummeled online for this decision, they deserve every bit of it. I so wish MTU could've pulled off the win. Schloss' comment on Twitter about "White jerseys tonight, white flags tomorrow night" made me LOL.
  6. For sure. Traveling to China and then having it cancelled is certainly different (for us, at least) than going to Canada and having to come back early.

  9. Hahaha! That tweet sure didn't age well, especially posted after they cancelled the WMU game. Classic.
  10. https://www.uscho.com/2021/12/27/tinling-leaves-vermont-after-26-career-games-with-catamounts-signs-with-ushls-buccaneers/ https://www.uscho.com/2021/12/28/boston-universitys-boucher-leaves-terriers-mid-season-signs-nhl-deal-with-senators/ Couple Christmas break college hockey departures...a VT soph goes back to the USHL and a BU freshman leaves for the NHL/OHL.
  11. The UM release says that it is not COVID related. https://www.michigandaily.com/ice-hockey/michigan-cancels-contest-with-western-michigan-due-to-health-and-welfare-protocols/ Wow what a load of crap. Remember when Hakstol led a team with like 17 or 18 healthy skaters to the F5 championship with 3 wins on back to back to back nights? This is totally just UM not wanting to play WMU and face getting a loss and dropping in the PWR. UM is getting blasted on Twitter and FB for this (rightfully so) and it's great to see. As I said before, I hope MTU crushes them on Wednesday.
  12. Also, if the game against Tech does happen, I'm hoping Tech beats up on them. That'll hurt them worse in the PWR than a potential loss to WMU would have.
  13. Exactly. Doesn’t add up unless they cancel the Wednesday game against MTU too.
  14. I'm guessing USA Hockey is going to be pushing Sanderson really hard to play in the Olympics. Looking at the Olympic Hockey schedule, it appears USA's first prelim game is Feb 10 and the medal round ends Feb 20. But who knows how many days prior to Feb 10 he'd have to leave and how many days after USA's last game before he'd be back on campus. Especially if anything happens over there and the players need to be in quarantine. If he plays, he'd probably be out the entire month of February so he'd miss the series against CC, UMD, and WMU (UND has a week off in February already). Hopefully he could play against SCSU Jan 28/29 and hopefully he'd be back and cleared for the UNO series Mar 4/5. Tough to lose him for that amount of time, especially since he's already missed time with injuries. And even more so since this will be our last season to see him in a UND sweater.
  15. Michigan cancelled it's GLI game against WMU scheduled for Thursday due to health protocols within the UM program. Oddly enough, their game against MTU on Wednesday is not cancelled though. Maybe UM (without a few of their star players) is scared to face off against a really talented WMU team, so they just cancelled that game.
  16. Yeah the Slovaks pulled their way back in there during the 3rd. A win is a win but certainly wasn't the most dominating display.
  17. Agreed. Plus the whole unknown with their quarantine time. Seems like a sketchy situation even attempting to go over there.
  18. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/could-the-olympics-upend-the-college-hockey-season?fbclid=IwAR3OV7YFPIG-3z0XiMjJu7_Q8vGAfci29nrPhbU1wCC57Yp46EDxYKfN8vw Could be losing Sanderson for another month if the Olympics don’t use NHL players.
  19. Thank you Colorado College!
  20. We’d have two less games. They come to GF for a series. It wouldn’t hurt our ranking necessarily but it’s a nice opportunity to improve if UND were to win.
  21. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/flyers-draft-pick-owen-mclaughlin-commits-to-und
  22. We'll see if Cornell plays their planned games against ASU or not (scheduled for the week prior to our series with them on Jan 1/2). If they play ASU, then I'd bet we'd be ok for our series against them. If they cancel against ASU, then who knows.
  23. Just hoping for no more Sanderson injuries/illnesses in the 2nd half. The boys have done well in the times that he's been out of the lineup, but we'll need him if UND wants to make a postseason run.
  24. Hell of a game from Saville from UNO. Gets the shutout with 41 saves against WMU, which included 6 WMU PP chances. That's impressive against WMU's potent offense.
