  1. Awesome. He helped bring UND it's first ever NCAA title and now helping the hockey program out for future & incoming student-athletes. That's pretty darn cool.
  2. Agreed. Both of those players were a joy to watch at UND even if both had less of an impact due to circumstances outside their control. Pinto with the COVID cancelled post-season and Sanderson with his injury-riddled 2nd year.
  3. Ha. Nice.
  4. The toughest games on our schedule IMO: @ UMN Oct 21-22 DU Nov 11-12 UMD Jan 20-21 @ DU Feb 10-11
  5. That might be setting your expectations a wee bit high.
  6. Thanks for the updates, appreciate it as the excitement builds toward the new season starting! I feel that DeRidder will have a good year in net. He's never had a team (especially d-corps) as good in front of him as what he'll have this year.
  7. Yeah, I mentioned the same thing when McMorrow committed to DU. For a kid that played MN HS hockey, his numbers sure don't jump off the page. We'll see how he does on the NTDP this season.
  8. So you’re saying there’s a chance!
  9. These two top lines could be pretty darn fun to watch. Lots of offensive talent...hopefully those three freshmen get up to speed relatively quickly, as they could really help out offensively this year. Great to hear on Hain as well...he could be poised for a breakout offensive year based on how he was playing when he got hurt last year.
  10. Quite true. I love watching talented teams. Last year UND went thru spurts of playing excellent hockey and it was great to watch and enjoy. This year has the potential to be even better. We’ll see what happens. I’ll watch regardless of how many 1st rounders we have on the team.
  11. Yes they were, and they were fun to watch. They couldn't bring home the big trophy at the end though, much like the loaded BU team a few years before them. Let's hope UMN follows in that same path with all the young talent that they're bringing in. Quite the recruiting month for them though.
  12. Ouch, that's a tough one. Sounds like a few of the top SSM kids made a "pact" to play together at the college level as well. It's just unfortunate that they chose UMN to play at. We all saw how well it worked out for BU and Michigan when they got a huge chunk of highly recruited players at once. They all lasted 1-2 years in college and not one of them brought home a national title at the end of the year. Still...we need Berry to land a few of these players.

  14. He's been on our "potential recruit wishlist" for a few months now, he is one of the better dman recruits available in his draft year.
  15. Keith McInnis -- UND! Danny Nelson -- Notre Dame EJ Emery Will Zellers Brendan McMorrow -- DU Cole Eiserman
  16. Great pickup! Well done coaches, let’s add a couple more!
  17. So...what you're saying is that they better add another letter in there this year if they want a repeat of 2016. Get on it, Berry! Also...wrap up this Eiserman kid while you're at it to calm the masses on ss.com!
  18. Didn’t they lose like half their team from last year? Seems like they lost a lot. But they did get Johnny back for a 5th year!!
  19. Certainly helped that his older brother Henry was already committed to Notre Dame.
  20. Ha, before I saw your small font text, I was gonna say that Gopher faithful are gonna take offense to that. They're convinced that they have the best d-corps and first line in college hockey. They will have a great D group for sure, but their forward depth is lacking IMO.
  21. I don't know, it's usually hard for dying programs to win national titles. But I'll keep my fingers crossed for this season!
  22. You realize that UND has one of the highest rated incoming freshman classes this year, right? Our freshmen forward group is elite. How did that happen if UND isn't relevant outside of GF? And how did that happen despite UND not winning a title since 2016? Your definition of a dying program is vastly different than mine.
  23. I heard that if we only go 1 for 5, UND is planning on folding the program. No longer elite, so what's the point? They'll probably pull them all off the ice during a practice to let them know that the program is done.
