That's pretty cool: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/hockey-hall-of-famer-ed-belfour-drops-into-grand-forks-rec-hockey-game And of course Kauker was there.

Agreed. He seemed solid when he played last year. Just need a steady dman back there.

UND would probably be 4-3 over those same 7 games if they had Harvard's schedule.
-
Harvard remains undefeated.

Man, that McAllister kid seemed to come out of nowhere. Two mediocre years in the BCHL/AJHL, then one monster year in the AJHL (139pts in 60 games). Now leading WMU in points as a freshman.

UND drops to #19 in the USCHO poll. To be honest, I'm surprised that they are still ranked at all. -

Before the season, I would have thought this was definitely realistic for this stretch. Now, I'm not sure we'll be able to get there. -
2022-23 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

On the plus side, our PP keeps scoring. Need to find a way to get our 5x5 play much better though. And our defensive zone coverage. And our breakouts. And our etc etc.... -
2022-23 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Agreed. And last year's games between UND/DU at the REA were a lot closer than this past weekends. Friday night 3-1 UND win with an ENG. SOG were 23 each. Sat night 4-2 UND win with an ENG. SOG were 28-22 UND. This year's UND team has more areas to clean up than DU did last year at this point in the season. -
Time to put up or shut up. Time to start to right the sinking ship or let it plummet deeper. This team has the talent...we've seen it in bursts.
-
Yeah I saw his older brother is committed there.

https://thehockeynews.com/news/hagens-and-eiserman-dazzle-as-unbeaten-usa-powers-to-world-u-17-gold US team crushes the U17 Hockey Challenge, winning gold. UMN recruit Eiserman and uncommitted James Hagens both dominate: You'd like to think that Berry and Co are in on Hagens, but judging how other commitments have gone recently, he'll probably end up at UMN, UM, or BC/BU.
-
Agreed. On the board, UND is either the best team ever ("we might not lose a game the rest of the season!") or this UND team is the worst collegiate team to take the ice in 30 years ("fire the coach, sack all the recruits, and send everyone else back to the portal!"). My guess (hope) is that the players already have Miami on their minds and are hoping to get back on track after a poor performance at home.
-
Tonight would be a good time for one of those patented "players only" meetings to figure things out.
-
We'll see about that next weekend, unfortunately. With how this team looked this weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if Miami took points from us.
-
This team has nothing going for it right now. They've lost any confidence that they might have. They're playing scared and just throwing passes to anyone (usually the opposing team). Very crucial four game stretch coming up here against Miami and BSU. If this team wants to regain any confidence and momentum, it has to start next weekend.
-
We didn't, UND was still expecting him to come in, but his changed his mind.
-
Not long unfortunately.
-
I guess we should prepare for disappointment.
-
I would guess we'll still be top 4 in NCHC and be home for first round, despite our recent struggles. The NCAA playoff picture is a bit murkier however. Our OOC record thus far isn't going to help. Still have a couple remaining OOC series against BSU and Lindenwood...need better results in those four games.

Brad’s article mentioned it, but Kleven was injured in the 1st and didn’t return. Guessing that means there’s a good chance he doesn’t play tonight. This team sure has dealt with it’s fair share of injuries over the last few years.
