  1. Man I hope we can hold them to 3 goals or under. I'm assuming Spicer will get at least 2 himself.
  2. Sounds like Schmaltz is injured, so better take him off your line chart guesses.
  3. Ah fun! Wait, you mean committed to UND, right?!?
  4. Has there be any mention from anyone within the UND group about getting something going?

  6. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/north-dakota/armacost-says-und-hockey-coach-had-no-conflict-of-interest-concerning-daughters-ownership-of-nodak-llc The conspiracy theory is that Berry is too worried about the NODAK LLC and it is affecting the teams performance on the ice.
  7. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-looking-to-help-out-its-goaltenders Switching up the lines to try to find a mixture of both goals + defensive reliability. And then there was much rejoicing on ss.com.
  8. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-hockey-prospect-notes-emerson-shows-versatility-in-all-american-game Some recruit observations from the BioSteel All-American game: Michael Emerson Andrew Strathmann Also more on Keith McInnis

  10. I wonder if NIL money is tax-deductible for a business? I'd be willing to shoot some business money their way if a NIL was setup for UND hockey players.
  11. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/in-season-of-slim-margins-two-blown-leads-loom-large Crazy to think how just two blown 3-goal leads would change UND's NCHC and PWR outlooks this season: And...for everyone's favorite xG metric:
  12. Imagine if there was a forum dedicated to people posting about how they could do your job better.
  13. The portal is going to affect rosters for years to come, for every team, not just UND. The players need to realize that, if they haven't already.
  14. Yeah Halliday Rizzo and Morrow on this team and things are a little brighter.
  15. Today's games move UND up to #23 in the PWR. The comeback begins. Next weekend won't help much if we sweep other than get us back above .500. If we lose a game or two to #36 UMD, however, will only drill us down even more spots. The hole is just too big at this point. Pulling out a win last night would've done wonders.
  16. Agreed that DeRidder should've started the 3rd. If they could have ended the 2nd still at 5-3, then keep KJ in there. But once WMU closed it to 5-4...that's asking a lot of a young goalie thrust into a big stage with a win on the line. Cue the implosion in the 3rd. Can't believe that Grainger kid got 6 points? Team slid down 8 spots in the PWR in one weekend. Brutal. At this point...pray we can somehow win our first round road series, then manage to squeak by a couple wins to snag the NCHC Tourney. Seems like such an impossible ask of this team at the current point. What does next weekend bring? A showdown at the Ralph between two formerly strong teams. This right here is the battle for 6th place in the league, I'm afraid. I'd love to see a couple wins for UND, but you know they won't make it that easy to get back above .500. Spicer will probably get a hattrick both nights.
  17. Hey thanks, appreciate that. It was still a fun time hanging out with him...Friday we were last row upper level (where I used to stand during my student days) and Saturday we were first row right on the glass...despite the crappy game results we're still making the most of the trip. Getting some outdoor hockey in (haven't done that for decade+ either) and, naturally, visiting all the food hotspots that I miss from my 25 years in GF.
  18. The crappy thing about Johnson (Brent) not playing is that with all the dmen leaving next season, he'll get plenty of ice time. But will he stick around for another year after sitting for most of this year or will he elect to enter the portal? Would hate to lose him because I think he has good potential to be an excellent upperclassman for us.
  19. I think he's hoping that it gives the team a bit of a spark. Might as well give it a try...unfortunately a goalie hasn't stepped up now so might as well try the other remaining option. If he can have a save % above .900, he's already winning.
  20. Costantini, BJohnson, and James sitting.
