Picked up FB tickets today at the Ralph. Short, but SLOW-MOVING line. One window open, I was stuck being people walking up to buy tickets for a variety of other events. Why not showcase UND FB with a designated window and some signage. Maybe someone buying tickets for other events (or doing some holiday shopping at the Sioux Shop) will notice.

Personally, I can't wait for Saturday. But UND/Alerus staff/whoever's job it is to drive attendance has to work hard this week. It's a three-day weekend for many - no school in GF, no classes at UND on Friday. Just brainstorming...Junior Champions club kids get in free, $10 ticket for their parents. $10 fb ticket if you show your hockey or VB ticket. Football season ticket holders get to buy extra tickets for this game for $10. Champions Club members can buy tickets for $10 this week. These are the ones I can think of that UND athletics has easy access to via email. Serve coffee and donuts in the Alerus lobby and offer veterans $5 tickets on Friday (Veterans Day). Or how about 2 for 1 tickets for senior citizens since Saturday is Senior Day. Or free parking. Food/drink specials? I'm sure there are way better ideas out there. I just want them to do everything they can to make Saturday a big deal in GF.

Do we hope to kick it deep in the end zone or admit it's not going to happen and squib kick it. Sooner or later, our kick coverage is going to cost us.

In person, I thought we improved quite a bit as the game went on. Took some undisciplined penalties, that needs to be cleaned up. On two of UMD's penalties where they scored quickly, we started the PK with inexperienced penalty killers. I expect that will change for tonight. The #1 power play unit looked pretty good, the other one struggled. Freshmen D hung in there pretty well.

I'd like to see Sections 209 and 210 become General Admission. (end of both sides) If you want a reserved seat/better seat, buy season tickets or pay ticket window price. But if you want to bring your kids and their friends, load up the car and pay $5 a head for first come/first serve seating.

Yep, we have season tickets but when we need extras, we walk up and get them. Ticketmaster fees are ridiculous.

People in our section were covering their ears in anticipation (once we realized that it was intentional and not a malfunction). It was BAD.

Maybe try Yon with the Euros? Peski was better last night. I think the D pairings and ice time were better managed too. Maybe Gage is hurt?

We had the best defensive corps in the country last year. Three left early to go pro, Ladue and Stecher had great NHL camps and will most likely get some time with the Kings and Canucks this year. Lots of potential in this year's group, will be fun to watch them improve.

Raise ticket prices? Really? So the "revenue" sports can support the others more than they already do? Except for men's hockey, I thought increasing attendance was the goal.

I understand taking a knee and assumed at the time SUU would do the same. On the replay it looks like the SUU kid was looking to hit someone and it ended up being a blindside hit to the head. Definitely A personal foul. Maybe more.

I thought one positive of the committee involvement would be info. available about costs and revenue for each sport. Has that been released somewhere?
