Hoping for a US/Canada match-up for gold. Jost looked very good tonight. Feel bad for Boesser, he would definitely help the US team.

Geez, Gage has a tough time clearing the zone when killing penalties.

Poganski is very noticeable out there right now. In a good way.

Seems like we've a number of these incidents over the years. "Undisciplined" can be lots of things-like the antics at the end the last two games. But discipline can also be playing relentless team defense, protecting the ball, avoiding silly fouls, etc., etc. Not exactly a hallmark of Jones' teams. Yes, the transition years were a mess. But he's been here how long? Several recruiting classes and lots of opportunity to instill a disciplined approach to improvement. (Think Bubba)

UND coaches and players were not happy with NDSU's time out and celebratory huddle on the floor with how many seconds left? 24? And no, it was not to get reserve players into the game - there were other opportunities to do that. I think that's why UND's assistant coach was hollering at their bench.

So remind me why we still have too many sports at UND? I thought the philosophy was going to be, let's fully fund sports and win championships.

I hope Jost and Brock are able to play for their countries in the WJC. First, because they're good hockey players who had lots of other options for places to play this year and chose us. So I'll be happy for them and cheer them on. Also...UND's coaches have always been outspoken in support of their guys going to the WJC. That helps us get and keep these kinds of players. The publicity for UND is huge.

Tons of Sioux fans here. We've run into them everywhere.

I think attendance numbers for football and hockey are going to be outstanding this weekend. We have season tickets for both, and rarely miss a game in either. We're heading to NYC along with hundreds (thousands?) of Sioux fans. To those who will be at the Al, cheer loud for us, OK? We'll do the same for you in NYC. With the VB team in the NCAA tourney, it's sure a great weekend for UND athletics.

Who's going? How many in your group? Where are you sitting/staying/eating/drinking/touring?

Schmaltz, Stecher, Ladue. Those three were no-brainers, we were lucky to keep Ladue as long as we did. Johnson...not sure how NHL contract/roster rules played into his decision. We could sure use him. Thompson... Sent to the ECHL? Back to AHL? He would have made a big difference for us this year.

I'm surprised Cam didn't get pulled on Friday after the second goal. Did Shaw get hurt on Saturday?
