I don't know what Greene's life situation was like back then, but Oshie may as well have been a Grand Forks resident with his dad living in town. Much easier for a guy like Osh to bring it to Forks. Greene also seemed very connected to UND. Toews did wonderful things with the cup up in Winnipeg with who he shared it with, so it's a bit selfish to think Grand Forks deserved a visit over that.

I'm not sure why a guy that's still in his playing career is being questioned as to why he hasn't done all this stuff for UND. Wait until his career is over before questioning.

I agree with Goon on this one. These types of games happen. It's a road game in a small town requiring both flying and busing against an unfamiliar opponent salivating at playing one of the western powers in their own barn. A lot of the college hockey blue bloods don't make a trip like this for the very reason we saw on Friday night. A game like this will hopefully make the team stronger and more adept for uncomfortable situations down the road. The result sucked, but I still think they kept fighting and skating, just made a lot of mistakes in the midst of all that.

It's still Minnesota at #1 for the majority of the fan base. The bitterness seen is similar to how Vikings fans (which most UND fans are) have Packer Derangement Syndrome...though in this case it's Gopher Derangement Syndrome.

We should never schedule road ECAC games ever again. It never helps us. Thank you to the previous regime for scheduling this one.

Haven't been there in awhile, but all the times I went it was big, but very sterile. And now there's no crowd either.

I don't think you could have gotten off a worse clean shot than what Swanson just pulled off.

Both last week and so far this game we've immediately fought back like a pissed off hornet as a response to opponent goals. Love the new energy this year.
