C'mon you know as well as I do there is a certain amount of luck inovolved in any sport. Particularly hockey. I agree with you though, you make your own luck and you have to bury your chances. But the entire game is played at one end of the rink and the net results are 0....I think there is some odd bounces here and there. Besides all the coaches use that term "puck luck"

70 shot attempts to 25 in the Saturday night game for the Sioux and 59 to 40 in the Friday game. I would call that domination. They just didn't have puck luck like cc did. By the way the Sioux are battling all the same ailments and sickness' like every other team is so I'm not buying into that. They'll find a way to put the pauck away. The season is roughly a little bit past the midway point. Lots of time left. The glass is half full.

I predicted a sweep by the Sioux and they came out on the short end.....twice. The Sioux are for real. They dominated the weekend and the #1 team in the nation all weekend. They deserved a better fate. It will come. Somebody will figure it out sooner or later. One thing though. Why does it always seem that the apposing goalie brings his "A" game everytime the they play the Sioux? GO SIOUX!

I'm really confident this weekend. UND matches up well with CC. I don't think CC matches up well UND. Also if Lamaroux just keeps his composure, I really think UND will at least split.

The funny thing about CC is that they have copied UND's style. UND will hang with them. I've heard they had thier best team practice this week. UND will play them tough. If the Sioux get that first win they will sweep.

I agree. With next years class coming in, I am very optimistic. Young and fast and very skilled! They will be just fine. On the other hand, this year is notover yet. I think the Sioux will be fine. Shore up the defense a little, take two from Mankato, then sweep CC. They can do it. The Sioux have always been sucessful at CC. THey can do it! GO SIOUX!

Ah yes! That is right. I forgot about that. Anyone know who were the first lines for both of those teams?

I used to play in between periods at Sioux hockey games in the early 70's. That was my first experinece.

Now you actually have something to look forward every weekend other than bissssson bb. Really what would you rather do? Go to a Sioux hockey game vs. Minnesota or Wisconsin or watch the bissson get pumped by Mankato State.

Although I have been a little disappointed so far with this season, I am optimistic about this weekend. I think the Sioux are the better team. My only gripe is start Phil all the time. He is rock solid. And give Radke more playing time! The kid is a real talent. It seems to be wasting. We need his offensive punch! I think the Sioux sweep this weekend. Then come and take two more from Cansius and we will be 14-6 going into the holidays. Not bad. GO SIOUX!

Wrong. Your a distant Second to UND. If you go on ICUP I mean POI they regularly talk about UND. You were on our site. Taffe has a bad rep. I remember him at the Ralph shooting pucks into the UND student section. Pure class. Another downtown Minneapolis grung punk worked.

Thanks for the info guys. Lee is very skilled. Very skilled. As a Sioux fan I will be very excited to see him in the Green, White and Black. Also last night I noticed alot of people wearing UND stuff. Cool to see.

I went to the game last night. Lee is easily the best player out there. He is very smooth. Never gets rattled. He looks very effortless where Ammerman looks rushed all the time. Ammerman is still a good player. I was immpressed with Drew Fisher. I think he is a transfer from International Falls. Vandvelde is very fast as is Loos and Becker. Becker is a little small though. Lee is the man though. THe whole team seems to center around him. Also his wrist shot is unbeleivable. He finds the open slots very well. Moorhead overall was much bigger faster and stronger than Bemidji. Good game to watch. Jordy Christian scored as well. Anybody know if that is Dave Christian's son? Good player as well.

What's the story on this Marto kid? Skill level etc?

What's with Dahl saying "quote unquote quality apponent" Next to the gerbils I can't stand the Peta Lovers. I hope Haksol posts this in the Sioux Locker room. GO SIOUX!

Over-acheiver.......Scott Dub Under-acheiver......Chris Jensen. He could have done so much more.

At this point and time two things are clear. UND is way over-ranked and Minnesota is way under-ranked. At this point in the season, Minnesota is a far superior team. Far superior. They skate and pass as well as any team in the country. Granted there will be a natrual let down after a big win. But when defensemen can't even make a pass in the nuetral zone, much less skate it out is very concerning. It was very evident tonigh that the Minnesota sticks are so much faster then ours. The two North Dakota boys are clearly their best players on the team. I don't like our chances next weekend unless the Sioux's style of play changes from defensive to offensive within the week ahead. Also keep Radke in there and start Lamaroux!

When the penalties are totally lopsided what do you expect? The Sioux played shorthande the whole damn game. 4 5 on 3's? C'mon. When it's 5 on 5 the Sioux are just fine.

Well the only thing I can say......even after a Sioux victory is that apparently checking is illegal in college hockey.
