  1. Mr. Noah was on the 52' team that won the silver in Oslo.
  2. I believe Andy was actually was the last cut in 85-86 and 86-87. He had a ton of talent and work ethic but was pretty small.
  3. Oh man, i can't wait to see that. Laura Ingraham will eat him alive! One thing about Ed, true radio hosts know the issues inside and out and he DOES NOT know them. Like President Bush said when he came to Fargo a couple of years ago, "you've got a face made for radio." I almost pissed myselft I laughed so hard. Ed better know the issues inside and out or he will get crushed over the airwaves.
  4. What a moron. THey looked really tough the other night. What a great night for brown gerbil sports. Giving up an unheard of 31 points in the fourth quarter to a very bad Michigan team and then having Maine shove it up your **s! You should let all your frustrations out by tail-gaiting at the Fargo building. (It's not even a dome)......ooops, can't do that either. Please.
  5. Sorry Sic, that was for Bisssssonmav....whaever that stands for.
  6. Lets see, after the game we get to go watch the #3 team in the nation in college hockey play the the #1 team in the natin in Boston College. Who do the Bisssson play? For that weekend anyway NDSU can live vicariously through UND.......again!
  7. Thanks Pat. You the man! Great information. Getting very excited for the series! GO SIOUX!
  8. Now your making sense. I knew you would come around eventually. Face it yellowbelly, you were run out of town on USCHO. Your fellow gopher fans can't even stand you. Now please leave.
  9. I just love yellowdog. What a moron. Yep your right. The world revolves around anyone who has played for the gerbils. I've seen both of them play alot of hockey. I've even seen them play out east on that team. Johnny Pohl is nowhere near the complete player Jeff Panzer is. Panzer actually cares about the team in the way he plays defense as well. Please yellowdog. If your going to add something with some depth or insight at try to hide your tunnel vision!
  10. There are quite a few Lamoureux's that will be playing D-1 I would presume........hopefully all at UND.
  11. Great info. Thanks! GO SIOUX!
  12. Bismarck has lately been sending some kids to UND with Massen and Sedevie coming. Wasn't Pivetz from there as well? I could be wrong. Does anyone know of upcoming Bismarck kids or for that matter the state of North Dakota kids that have D-1 potential that WILL come to Grand Forks and not Minneapolis. We have got stop that pipeline.
  13. I think it will be glory for the Sioux. I really think that the Sioux will be there in the end but so will the Gophers. Just to expand a little bit on Hammy's point is the "target" that teams wear. The challenge to the players and the coaching staff is what they do with that challenge. The sign of a great team is being able to get through that rough period of the year when you may be losing a game here or there along with a few ties and using that as a learning tool on how finish off opponents as the gophers showed this year. My point is there are some teams that play with a target on their backs all the time. The only two that come to mind are the Sioux and and the Gophers on any given year.
  14. I should correct myself. Back then they took a look at Grand Forks and said these guys are so good because they have had more sheets of ice. So that 's when Moorhead started to make a real commitment to youth hockey and it has paid off. But you are right, they did not pattern themselves after their style of play.
  15. Yes Dagies how about that Garrett Larson kid for St. Cloud and that kid who is tranferring from Lake Superior State. I think both of them are from North Dakota as well if I am not mistaken.
  16. Both Grand Forks and Fargo are great hockey towns. But Grand Forks is clearly a leader by a wide margin in my estimation. Red River and Central can and do compete on a regular basis with Warroad and Roseau. Grand Forks benefitted from years of having ice when nobody else did, even the northern Minnesota teams. Moorhead actually patterned its peewee's, squirts and bantam after the Grand Forks program after they started to get more ice. I really think though that Grand Forks and North Dakota in general are turning out better quality D-1 prospects due to the increased ice sheets going up. I looked on the Lincoln Stars website the other day and they have 8 kids from North Dakota on that team. No wonder they are so damn good. Although it might have something to do with Steve Johnson being thier coach. Either you look at it a person has to agree that the more sheets go up the better the hockey D-1 prospects within the state of North Dakota. And then the Sioux will not have to go as far to get great players to bring home number 8! GO SIOUX!
  17. Your the ones going D-1 and still bringing in weak D-II opponents.
  18. Tradition. That's all that Sioux hockey is! There is no other school in the country that comes close to what the University of North Dakota is all about. Michigan and the Gophers can talk all they want. We have the unique name, the mystique, the tradition, all the players in the NHL, people all around the world that follow Sioux Hockey. There is nothing else like it in the college ranks.....of any sport in my opinion. Everybody wants what we have. The tradition, the loyal, die-hard, fanatic fans who can't get enough of Sioux hockey. No matter what happens at the end of every year of Fighting Sioux hockey, it still gains in popularity. Just to play for the program is an honor in itself and that is how we recruit our players as well. Hard working clean-cut kids who leave everything on the ice every weekend night. Sioux hockey will live forever. I can't wait till dry-land practice starts again! GO SIOUX!
  19. Unlike Bison Footbal, Sioux hockey has not fallen.
  20. Concordia St. Paul also barely beat MSU and had a gutting performance against Concordia, Moorhead. Scheduling them is stretch at best.
  21. I stand corrected. It still does not justify scheduling them. Man NDSU must have paid those boys a ton of bucks to play them.
  22. Nice, very nice. There is and always will be envy on the part of NDSU to be like UND. This should add more fule to the fire. I see your D-1 football team scheduled a D-III powerhouse in Concordia of St. Paul. Perfect.
  23. He is obviously a disgruntled kid from the Minneapolis area who thought he might make the su footbal team and instead wound up flunking English (as evident by the way the article was written) and striking out on every fat chick on the NDSU campus. And believe me there is a ton of them! This kid has no knowledge of college hockey. Hey maybe he should ask Irv Innegar!
