    OK, so what does Bubba have to do to improve or more important, what CAN he do? I'm sure they saw many of the flaws in practice, but some of this stuff can't just be magically cured, especially with two good players hurt.

    Very big difference in quality. USD smoked the Bison last year whereas SDSU laid down and got beat. USD game will show what our guys have in them. No reason not to win though

    All around frustrating game. O line totally sucked. I knew it would be a tough game but thought we get the W. Bubba needs to go back to fundamentals can quit coming up with garbage sayings like Leave No Doubt. I've got serious doubts now. Hopefully BG isn't a blowout, but I'm worried

    This I agree with. We don't need COA since no one else in the Sky is paying it. We aren't beating NDSU on recruits anyway, so that argument doesn't apply. Worse yet is the deficit isn't even caused by COA, we just started paying that, so we need to trim another 1.2 million next year. COA wasn't even discussed, we just jumped in blindly.

    17-14 Hawks We seem to struggle early on against weak opponents. Remember Drake last year.

    Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but this shortfall is for the past year and we are just now starting to pay COA, so that means another $1.5 million needs to be found or cut for next year. I doubt we have that much left to cut.

    In past years I used to get a little worried when we didn't have any commits by now when a lot of the neighboring colleges are getting them left and right, but they will show up here soon enough. It's not a race to see who can get them first, it's who gets the best. That said, I am surprised at the number of guys both NDSU and SDSU have gotten already, seems like verbals are coming earlier every year. Still, we will have plenty by next month.

    I think they view more engines as more chances for failure.

    Sure sounds like the coaches are going after the right kind of players. We want guys with good raw talent but are not getting a lot of offers from the big boys. Bring them in and mold them to our style football and watch them grow in the sport. Looking forward to the verbals rolling in eventually.

    I voted for the Hawks name and was looking forward to the logo, but this is beyond bad. Send it back and try again, the ND is almost indistinguishable and it gets worse from there. I hate this logo, I just do!!!

    "More commitments"? We don't even have one yet for 2017 as far as I know.

    I'm surprised we went with a WO offer. Seemed like he'd have been a good get. Apparently Bubba must have his sights set on someone better.
