Not trying to fan the flames but I am not aware how UND did everything in its power to see that NDSU would fail other than not playing them. Do you have other examples?
 -
The discussion appears to be about letting go of the bad blood because of the refusal to schedule the other team when the needed games. One team is holding onto that and is unwilling to to schedule a home and home. The other agreed to travel twice in an effort to get the games started again. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

Letting it go would mean being willing to schedule a regular home and home. One team is willing to do that and the other won't let it go, as you say. I don't really care if we play or not but to say UND is not willing to let it go is bass ackwards.

Let's clear another thing up. Here is what we were reacting to. His statement was that NDSU would have scheduled UND for a home and home if the dates worked out. To which I said BS - there were plenty of times the dates would have lined up for a home and home over the years. Nothing more...nothing less. Per Tjamz - For the record, I've been in favor of never playing UND again unless it's in the playoffs. I really don't think it is good for either school as it brings out the worst in most fans. As for why we did with Weber, we had an opening in our schedule last season and this season. Weber was one of a few schools that we could do a home and home with in those years that had the right dates open. I'm fairly certain that IF those dates were open at both UND & NDSU we may have seen a home and home scenario play out there as well. The stars didn't align so it didn't happen.

I'm calling BS on the home and home. There were multiple options to schedule a home and home and NDSU wouldn't do it. NDSU wouldn't even play a home and home with UND with the games being 4 years apart. As far as bringing out the the worst in fans - my son was at the game as a UND student and one obnoxious fan yelled a few things early in the game. The SU fans around them told him to shut up as did the security guard and it ended. No issues that I am aware of.

That is strange that he would say that but how does it lead to your statement- I get sick of UND fans saying they were just a snubbed invitation away from winning a National Championship. I still haven't seen that anywhere.
 -
I don't expect a cake walk for JSU. In fact I don't think they will win. I have not heard anyone say that we would have won a National Championship if we got in. Did you read it on here? The most loyal fans seem to post on here. I haven't seen it but I don't read every post. Like was said above - it would have been a nice stepping stone and would have advanced the program.

Looking for 6 tickets for Saturday Feb 20 against UMD. Any combos would be great. 2-4-6

Back in the old days at Memorial Stadium at a very cold Sioux-Bison game things were getting a little edgy between the SU fans in front of me and my group. Then we realized that one of us had brought in a gallon of hot apple cider and the other had a big bottle of cinnamon schnapps. We decided to combine our contraband and had a great time together the rest of the game. Moral of the story - even though alcohol is usually a big part of the problem, sharing alcohol can help resolve differences.

I'm sure there were some bad experiences in Missoula. The only data point I have is 4 friends of mine that are Bison fans did go to Missoula and told me that they had a great time and were treated great by the people there.

	It was awful Friday.

I did glance at his Twitter account yesterday. He mentioned the offer from UND but I didn't see a commitment tweet to UND.
 -
whistle in the stands caused some players to stop so no play.

I hate to get on the fire coach bandwagon but Jones needs to go. Besides the losses he is a poor representative for the school with his childish antics.

Make free throws and you win. Simple.

mine is. Not great picture though

I happened to run into him at a game and he indicated to me that he came in with an injury and didn't know it and it was found early in camp. I might have misunderstood him too.
 -
I believe he already used up his redshirt year as a true freshman.

I just helped a friend move a bar shuffleboard machine into his basement last weekend. Bar shuffleboard is a much better vs. croquet for the winter months in MN and ND.

Thanks for making my point for me. The people directly involved care a lot - whether it is NCAA Hockey or FCS Football (or Major Junior hockey, I guess) and the rest of North America has a very passing interest. Again - NCAA Hockey and FCS Football are similar in importance.
 -
Go to WInnipeg or Toronto and ask who won the NCAA Hockey or FCS football champoinship last year. I would guess the majority of people have no idea. Like I said before - they are similar for most of the US and even Canada.
 -
Which is why I said - Most of Canada doesn't give a rip about US college hockey either which is saying something since they are the biggest hockey fans in the world.
 -
As of about 2 years ago the REA was giving back around $100k to the school and spending the rest.
 -
Much of this is just silly. College hockey existed long before Title IX and college teams didn't add hockey at that time. If you are worried about a sport impacting Title IX - FBS and FCS football has many more scholarships than hockey so they would be the first to go if that was the main driver. I know a lot of hockey fans think the whole world is watching and enthralled with the sport but most of the country doesn't follow it and FCS football has an equivalent following. Most of Canada doesn't give a rip about US college hockey either which is saying something since they are the biggest hockey fans in the world.
