  1. 2014 was Mollberg's 3rd season in the program. 2014 was Studsrud's 1st season and this season (2015) is Studsrud's 2nd season. In my opinion, take the 4-1 start and stick with the solid potential of Studsrud.

That is true but it was Mollberg's second season on the field, same as Studsrud has now.   Studsrud only played 4 games last year but Mollberg didn't play full time either so not a full season and a half.  Just saying their numbers are similar for both during their second seasons on the field.  Mollberg would have improved by playing this year also, same as Studsrud.

Again - I wouldn't make a change either but don't short change Mollberg.  He was playing very well when he got hurt - and we couldn't run the ball at that time.

  2.  I have to disagree there as far as the supporting cast goes.  Mollberg (and Bartles) were definitely thrown into the fire way too early.  But so was Studsrud, and he has handled that exponentially better.  In fact I'd say the circumstances surrounding his ascension to the starting job were far more difficult, and he has performed far better.  Studsrud has never had anybody named Hardin, Jackson, or Golladay to throw to either.

There seems to be some revisionist history going on here.  Studsrud has done a good job this year but Mollberg was also playing very well last year when he got hurt.  I don't support making a change at this time but the level of Joe's play last year shouldn't be diminished.  In fact Joe's QB rating from last year and Keaton's this year are pretty similar.

Here are the respective QB ratings for 2014 and 2015

    Mollberg - 108.5 rating in 2014

    Studsrud - 58.4 rating in 2014 / 116.3 in 2015

  3. My point is that shouldn't even be on our play sheet right now... Our OC needs to know not to call that play...

Regardless... Both were very poor decisions (the decision to throw it, and the play call itself)

I can get on board with that

  4. Due to the invitation from the Big Sky, UND cancelled the Summit's site visit which has without fail led to an invite 100% of the time. The MVFC made it clear they didn't have any interest at the time.

and UND couldn't go to the Summit and pass up a chance on a home for the football team.
