Hopefully the women's team can play more games in the Ralph and not on the Olympic ice. The Olympic Arena makes me feel like I am watching a high school game. I'd rather see them at the big arena even if it feels empty...

I talked to my cousin who graduated from USD last year and he said that hockey is highly unlikey there. His biggest point was the arena situation. He said that they could barely get the money to put a new roof on thier dome, although Gateway offered to pay for it if they let them paint the ceiling like a cow. So if they want a new hockey arena, they might need some corporate sponsorship for it... He also said that playing hockey in Sioux Falls wouldn't go over well because both towns are rivals and SF wouldn't really want USD playing hockey there...

There isn' a decent chance of this happening, I've never really thought of SD as much of a hockey state, but who knows. The CHA could use some more members also. They stated that they wanted to expand teh CHA two teams at a time, so I wonder who the other school would be?

The Leafs ran into a better team! They looked tired and Philly didn't want to get knocked out in the first round, again...

I'm rooting for UNH, but I am kinda cheering for UM too. I'll cheer for any WCHA team, even the gophers. The only thing I don't like about UM winning is that we would have to listen to their fans talk it up for another year.

I think that if Ryan Hale is used in a more offensive roll next year he will put up decent numbers. He has to contribute more for UND to be successful, I think. Although this year he was on the checking line, next year he needs to step up in the scoring department.

It's not the same attitude at the new REA and it really sucks. I sit in the upper level and there are times when I am the only person that claps and cheers, and that sucks. It was better this year than it was last year at least! Hopefully the atmosphere in that place will return to the hostile home ice it once was. I think that teams actually enjoy coming to the REA, how many WCHA teams actually have a losing record in that building.

I'm sad to see him go but I wish him the best of luck in the NHL!

Why do we need a Minor/Junior team in Grand Forks when we have a D1 college program?

For me, it is just for hockey. I cheer for the gophers football team, but the basketball team lost my respect after all the trouble it got into. My girlfriends mother always tried to give me crap about the gophers and said she was going to buy me a gophers hat for my birthday. She didn't seem too thrilled when I told her I only dislike the hockey team. For me, it's like the UM hockey team isn't even part of the rest of UM.

Too bad NDSU doesn't have even a club hockey team. Then maybe the article would be worth reading...

Too bad it is a club conference. It would be nice to see more D1 NCAA teams, but these are club teams. They wouldn't stand a chance against an NCAA D1 team...

The people at ESPN don't know crap about college hockey. That article sucks, in my opinion. The guy who wrote this must be a huge baseball fan because to me this article seems very biased. The only redeeming thing about this is the mention of the MN Twins, but that is all...

If you here any of the reaction of Cornell's coach he feels the same way. My prediction is that Cornell comes out with a quick couple of goals right away. That is when Mankato has you. They lull you into a false sense of confidence. The next thing you know, your team is trailing by two goals at the end of the third period trying to figure out what the hell happened.

Do the people at ESPN know what college hockey is? I guess that they don't believe in upsets, except for the two Michigan fans. In the East nobody thinks that Mankato has a chance against Cornell! I do, I wouldn't be suprised to see MSU beat Cornell. BC over OSU though. Northeast - I see SCSU making yet another first round exit, but they do have a chance at upseting NH. BU over Harvard. Midwest - CC destroys Wayne State. Maine over Michigan in OT. West - UM over Mercyhurst. ND over Ferris in a close one. UND in OT, yeah I'm biased... I gave up on USCHO very quickly. Its not worth listening to all the crap that people say there. I'd rather take part in a intelligent and civil conversation than listen to all the ranting over there!

Brandt looked real good on Saturday and Sunday! I was impressed with how good he did. Hopefully Blais will realize this too, and leave him starting...

The Denver players sure are friendly with all the hugging that they were doing. But calling more penalties probably wouldn't have mattered the way UND played. Lets hope tonite that they can play a lot better! The officiating did suck!

I hate to say it, but I haven't been voting for UND players lately because I don't think that they are the best players in the country. In my opinion, Peter Sejna deseves to win it so I vote for him!
