I think if UND would win even two in a row, we'd be breaking ground on phase three and looking at a domed renovation of old Memorial stadium. Even with five in a row, FU still has crap for an IPF. We have a great facility without even making the playoffs yet. Why? Because overall UND > Moo U.

I agree. I'd rather move up a level and be fbs in a low level bowl. Still...five fcs championships in a row is a great accomplishment. So, what else is there to prove at fcs level?

Gotta admit, nobody will ever surpass what the ag school has done at that level. Sad thing for them is that they will never poney up the money to take it to the highest level.

A not very good Colorado State Rams team nearly beat them, so I wouldn't write off UND in this game. It could be a good night for UND. Or not.

Why not have a holiday touney in Fargo? UND and FU play Minot State/Valley City State/Mary/Dickinson/Mayville in the first round...in rotating years invite any two...the winners face off in the final. Good incentive for the two D1schools in the state so they have a chance to face each other. Also, gives the smaller schools something to play for. Gives a showcase for college buckets in North Dakota.

I'm assuming FU plays at home. If so, they're heading to the soccer stadium with ease.

I totally agree that healing will take time. Complaining to the administration Is also fine. Those people probably have it coming. But, support the athletes. Let them have pride in their programs. Part of that is to allow them to have pride in their nickname. When you attend the games, focus on what will help the student athlete.

Fighting Hawks needs a bitchin' nice logo. I wouldn't buy that. But, I didn't buy Sioux gear without a logo either.

Booing a nickname that our athletic teams now have to use is bad form. Coming onto the ice, field, court - the announcer says, "Here come your Fighting Hawks!", you are cheering the student athletes. Not the nickname. I can't believe this has to be pointed out. I think our fanbase is bat $ hit crazy...

Yeah, we got jobbed. Even some realistic Fargo U fans came here and admitted it. But, a 7-4 team doesn't exactly scream of a championship prepared squad. It would have been intetesting to see how we'd stack up in playoffs though. On the bright side, there is a bright side. We have a bitchin' nice IPF, a growing active fan base, a good bunch of players now, good recruits coming in, and a good coaching staff. Plus, we have a nickname and can focus on the future. Yep...gotta wear shades...
