Roughriders. It ties UND to a known nickname for the state. It has great possibilities with logo design, mascots, etc. It's the leading candidate for good reasons. North Stars is a Minnesota nick name. Fighting Hawks isn't horrible, but it's too generic and is what every other school has adopted...a hawk. Nodaks...cmon. It's more of a slur than a nickname. Sundogs...is...stupid. Plus it would please the PC apologists to no end. Roll Riders!

UND was an 18 point underdog to the Pokes. That's about all I got. That and a gut feeling. Next time, do I have to have "data" to post a personal opinion to my team's fansite? One thing I know would be fact. If the college of home economics beats UND, at least coach k will have done something Bohl has failed to do...

EMU didn't play the same team UND played. UW's third stringer couldn't even throw a screen pass. It was horrible. On defense, Yarborough was hurt...DJ May was suspended. They racked up over 400 yards rushing on EMU when EMU stacked the line because they knew the UW qb couldn't throw to save his life. That's the same team UND held to 26 yards rushing. If UND plays like they did against the Pokes, they have a good shot at downing the buffaloes.

You shoud have seen what I s aw of the Pokes today. They handed Eastern Michign a 38-7 lead at half and gave EMU their first out of conference road victory since 1988. It was brutal. UND better keep the turnovers at about zero to have any chance against FU.

I judt got back from Laramie. Bohl is playing a lot of freshmen...lost the second string qb...Yarborough, the stud d lineman was hurt, but played. Basically, they stink. Glad UND got the win, but that is one bad team. Probably a better team later in the season. Glad we got the win over Drake. Hope the boys are ready for FU next week!
