Bemidji State is my least favorite opponent. There is nothing to gain because they are usually a pairwise killer (hovering in the low 30's or 40's), they play the trap game to perfection, which means a race to 2, and it is the ugliest hockey imaginable. I have seen others on this board complain of Mankato State, but they are nothing like BSU. Mankato plays an up tempo game typically, has more skill and the talent level is far superior. Mankato should be in the NCHC.

I get it that they don't put freshman on the all-conference team, but Verhoef will be 1st team defense. Reschny has a very good chance to be 1st team forward. These 2 are going to be very impactful.

With all due respect, because we are surrounded by them and I have never seen more over the top fans of any team that even come close to Sir Death or Darrick Mitchell on Facebook and their numerous followers. It honestly reminds me of Bison football fans, and that is not a compliment.

I agree with both points, but Vikings fans are pretty annoying also. We complain on this board about Gopher hockey fans being over the top, but a large percentage of those fans are also Vikings fans.

Dare I say overreaction after one start against the Bears? This is why fans of other teams get so annoyed with Vikings fan. Either the team is going to the Super Bowl after a few good games, or the team sucks after a few games and everyone should be fired. Pump the brakes. His 4th quarter performance was impressive, but I expect he will have ups and downs. It is certainly way too early to make any assessment about whether he is a franchise QB. I will say that I have been telling Vikings fans that if JJ is even average, the Vikings should have a good year because their roster is probably as good as any team in the NFC other than Philadelphia. They were respectable even with Nick Mullens and were good with Sam Darnold, neither of whom are franchise QBs.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I recall a similar narrative when Matt Cullen's brothers Mark and Joe were being recruited. They ended up to be pretty good college players and even played some pro hockey. I would never underestimate any Cullen because they have such incredible work ethic, character and heart. Even Matt was regarded as an average skater when he went to St. Cloud, but he worked on it and ended up being a really good skater.

I wouldn't characterize Brooks as a nothing burger. I agree he's not a star, but his heart and character are similar to his dad Matt. He will get better and will be a very good college player. Wyatt and Joey Cullen are legitimate high end players.
