  1. I disagree. I'm from Grand Forks and have a lot of pride for Grand Forks, but even if you combined the high schools, Grand Forks very rarely produces top Division 1 talent like Moorhead--GFRR and Central do not have a player nearly as good as Mason Kraft, let alone Brooks Cullen. Historically, Moorhead has had better players as well. Ryan Kraft, Chris Vandevelde, Brian Lee, John Lee, Matt Cullen, Mark Cullen, Joe Cullen, Jason Blake, Will Borgen, Ethan Frisch, etc. Grand Forks has had some really good players as well with Grant and Ryan Potulny, Jeff and Jay Panzer, Paul LaDue and many others, but Moorhead constantly produces D1 talent and quite a few pros. Moorhead would win the majority of the games with a combined GFHS team.
  2. That game against Moorhead was in EGF. EGF would have no answer for Mason Kraft. He has gotten better throughout the year. Moorhead also has better players and more depth. It would not be that close if they played now.
  3. I assume this isn't a serious question?? Moorhead would destroy EGF.
  4. 2 lower bowl tickets for sale in Section 105, Row K (behind where UND shoots twice) for $60 total. Text me at (701) 371-0195.
  5. You missed UMD, which will probably be 7 and Clowns 8. Otherwise, I agree with your predictions.
  6. Agreed. No. 10 Max Plante was arguably the best player on the ice for stretches of this weekend. He is very talented.
  7. Just 2 weeks ago, Duluth beat and tied ASU. They also split with DU in late January and swept SCSU earlier. I don't think you can compare UMD to Miami. UMD is also better than SCSU. To be fair, UMD is WAY better than Miami. UMD has some really good young players, they are just young.
  8. No. We have had many very good portal players--Cameron Berg, Chris Jandric, Bennett Zmolek, Connor Ford. Even Logan Britt, Keaton Pehrson and Ty Farmer were not bad. Goalies have been a bit more hit and miss, but Zach Driscoll was good the 2nd 1/2 of his season at UND, DeRidder was okay, and Semptimphelter is good. Ludvig Persson not so much.
  9. Who are you referring to that he dumped? A lot of really good programs have brought in portal players. Western Michigan brought in Costanini from UND, Brian Kramer from AIU, Robby Drazner from Miami, Cam Rowe from Wisconsin, Grant Slukynsky from Northern Michigan, and got Alex Bump and Hampton Slukynsky to change commitments. DU got Pohlkamp, last year got Tristan Broz and a few years ago got Cameron Wright from BGU. ASU has had many portal players, and they are really good because of it. The list goes on and on.
  10. Then you should be a DU fan. Your obsession with Scott Sandelin and UMD has to be something else as it borders on creepy.
  11. We know that you don't like Berry (and perhaps justifiably) but you should least back up your arguments with facts. UND did beat DU 3 of 4 last season, with DU's only win being in OT for 2 points out of 12. I know that DU had the last laugh by winning the National Championship, but to say that Carle owns Berry is not accurate.
  12. I agree completely. I can't even sell tickets to BSU games for face value if I can't go. It is brutal hockey to watch. Replace BSU and Manitoba.
  13. No, Schlossman is absolutely correct. The NCHC has not been good this year in non-conference games, including UND. UND hurt itself by losing and tying Bemidji State and getting swept by Cornell, but the rest of the NCHC hurt everyone else by not winning non-conference games as well. So you're right that UND hurt itself, but Schlossman is absolutely correct that the whole league hurt the Pairwise for every team in the NCHC based upon the non-conference record. The league is down this year except for a few teams--DU, Western Michigan and ASU.
  14. Wearing shorts to a hockey game is impressive
  15. Yes. He also went after Jason Gregoire (checked him from behind) and kneed Chay Genoway. He was suspended for 1 game by the WCHA. He was dirty, but really wasn't that tough. Kaip tossed him around like a wet rag.
  16. Trevor Bruess, yes. He was a goon that would cheap shot UND's better players. I think Pat O'Leary may also have had a go against him.
  17. Beat me to it. I don't understand why anyone would post speculation like this on a message board read by players, coaches and family.
  18. I don't understand the premise. Who said that a fan does not criticize the coach? Was it Berry?
  19. I still have 2 lower bowl tickets for sale for Friday (tonight) in Section 105, Row K. Great seats and are behind the goal where UND shoots twice. $30 apiece/$60 for pair. Text at (701) 371-0195.
  20. I have known Pat Johnson for many years. Played fast pitch softball with him and against him, and also racquetball. I like Pat and he is a really good coach.
  21. I am selling 2 tickets in Section 105, Row K for CC game on Friday, February 7. $60 for the pair. Text me at (701) 371-0195.
  22. Wrong. Dane Jackson was a forward and Karl was a goalie.
  23. Seriously? I thought he and Livanavage have been the best defenseman all year. Defense is not really the problem--it is the forwards and goaltending.
  24. Lions still could/should have won the Commanders game, but play calling and turnovers killed them. They had to score almost every time that they had the ball because of the defensive injuries. The key point in the game was when they had a 3rd and 1 inside the 15 and were up 7-3. Instead of running the ball with Gibbs (who was unstoppable), they got cute and went empty backfield. Goff gets strip sacked and instead of being up 14-3, Washington took it the other way and went up 10-7. Goff also threw the pick 6 and the INT in the end zone just before half. Goff is a good QB, but he picked a bad time to have his worst game of the year. Ben Johnson did him no favors by taking the ball out of his hands and letting Jameson Williams throw an INT. Two very bad calls that may have changed the entire game. I like Ben Johnson, but he didn't have has A game and neither did Goff. On the other hand, it was just a matter of time because the defensive injuries just keep mounting. They would have to play mistake free football to beat Philly or the big 3 from the AFC.
