Thank you! I would love for the mods to get rid of him

Disagree. Hold or interference

Understatement of the year

Yes. Plus, if UND loses, I would rather lose to Michigan than Denver. I would also rather have Michigan get 10 titles than DU getting 11 (lesser of 2 evils).

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

I agree about Livanavage. I'm not a big fan of Ty Hanson of UMD, and I suspect the only reason he is on the list is because of points. He's not that good defensively (his drop pass in the Michigan game is a good example) and I would take at least 3 UND defensemen before him (Livanavage, Wiebe, Emery and arguably Verhoeff), but certainly Livanavage. Reschny should also be on the all-rookie team. -
No we hate them because they play dirty, historically have injured our players, and their fan base is the worst

Sioux Falls Regional - UND / Prov / QU / Merrimack

KV will come back stronger this season. He still played 13 minutes. I thought Livanavage and Zmolek made a few turnovers/mistakes as well, probably because they play so many minutes. I think people are less forgiving of KV because the expectations are so high, but he is still very good. Strathmann and Laurila played the least minutes, but both looked very good. -

It was early in the year, but Merrimack beat Quinnipiac 4-1. Maybe they are better than you think? -

Shots are 11-11. The graphic on ESPN was incorrect -
Absolutely. I have had similar experiences with UMD fans at the old arena in Duluth and at the Final 5 and Frozen Faceoff tournaments. A few times I had minor children with me and they still swore at us.

Plus the Wings are historically much better than the Wild. The Wings have the 3rd most Stanley Cup championships and the North Stars/Wild have none.

Yoda? 🙂

Don't rule out Mankato. The game against St. Thomas is a home game for Mankato.

You and .357 can keep agreeing with each other on the worst take I have heard all year. Keaton Verhoeff had a bad game, but is top 4 on any college hockey team in the country and for many games this year, was UND's best defenseman. Any college coach in the country would gladly take him and put him in the top 4. He is a phenomenal hockey player and UND is very lucky to have him. I hope he plays in all situations in the regional because I am extremely confident with him out there.

Kind of like putting a raw 17 year old Jonathan Toews out on the big stage? 😲You really just stop because you don't know what you are talking about.
-
Just stop. Verhoeff is top 4 on any team in the country. He had a subpar game, but Liv was worse and was directly responsible for the 1st 2 goals and no one is saying to drop him from the top 4 nor should they.
-
He has been fighting the puck for the last few weeks

1st 2 goals were on Liv

Plantes.

I don't know for sure, but the articles said he did not agree to go to a western conference team for family reasons and was down to Detroit and Carolina
-
He also was unwilling to go West, meaning the Rangers were down to the Wings and the Canes. You are correct that Drury was asking too much for Trocheck

2025-2026 ND High School Hockey Thread
skateshattrick replied to Wilbur's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Along with Ben Strinden at UND, Lincoln Kuehne was at North Star and is at ASU, and Bauer Berry was at North Start and is at St. Thomas. Name 3 kids from ND that stayed in HS through their senior year that went to a blue blood program. -

I was addressing the incorrect premise that unless a kid is going in the top 2 rounds of the the CHL or USHL Draft, there is no reason to leave NDHSH early to go to a Tier 1 program. I recognize that some of the kids that finished HS got D1 scholarships, but they also generally had to go the route of the NAHL and did not go to blue blood D1 hockey programs. The kids that went to places like North Star Academy were able to go the USHL route and got into stronger programs like the NCHC. I don't think it is a coincidence. I also don't believe that a Fargo kid like Ben Strinden would have gotten the opportunity to play in the USHL without going to North Star.
