DI IN FARGO

If you think because the Mid-Con having SUU means that all of the sudden the left coast schools in the BSC are all of a sudden going to think aww its ok lets have UND join your kidding yourself. If you referring to the GWFC those schools want competition. Sac State doesn't want competition. Oh and one last little detail, the GWFC teams only have to make one trip every other year in one sport (Football) unlike what your proposing which would mean multiple trips for each sport which aint gonna happen.

The man has lost his mind. Were already in the Mid-Con. He's grasping at straws and as far as I'm concerned he made the bed let him sleep in it.

I couldn't let this go. This is way to funny. The BSC says that NDSU is to far east and out of the conference footprint but now all of a sudden UND is going to become a possibility for BSC membership because Fargo has flights out West (same flights available when NDSU applied for membership)? Add on top of that a 70 mile drive when all they would of had to do was go from the airport in Fargo about a mile to NDSU and their hotel? That is about the funniest thing I have seen posted yet.

Look for a possible new story on this issue in the near future on one of the local news stations or at least that is the rumor. If so hopefully some good information will come out of this and shed some light on this issue as it definetly needs it. Could come out ok or there may be alot more questions being asked of alot of people. This move may or may not prove to be premature if funding issues are not resolved to the satisfaction of some (especially in Bismarck) not to mention many in GF. Remember not all supporters of UND were in favor of it. One last thing, DON'T SHOOT THE MESSANGER!!!

I'm still waiting to hear what Potts has done for the State of ND or for the NDUS. Apparently everyone's still thinking about that one. Don't worry I already know the answer, its a BIG NOTHING ! But hey lets defend him anyway because its so much fun to bash Chapman and NDSU. Don't you guys have more to worry about like a Naming rights issue and a pending lawsuit with the NCAA? The NCAA has not been big in pushing the attendance requirements for IA so I don't see that being an issue. Yes its in the books but its been there a long time and its never been a big deal to the NCAA. Not sure why it would be now.

The comment highlighted just took away any credibility that you may have had. No public funds were ever used to do anything to fix the house at Chapmans request. If you want to make those comments go ahead but your credibility goes down the drain with them.

Some of you are simply incredulous, of course the validity of what the man has to say always is predisposed to where he lives. Yes I did read your whole post and was not looking for any arguement over it just pointing out both boards have those folks who post very distaseful comments and I've gotten to that point myself of disliking it. Your post should have read "When it happens at SS.com" not if it happens. If a fan of one really dislikes the other so much then that's their perogative but posting hateful messages stating "I hate them" or whatever reflects poorly on them. That's all I meant to say, and no it doesn't mean that you can't have honest fun with the opposition by poking jabs at each other. If DaveK ever said anything nice about NDSU I would be the first to suggest he see a doctor and get checked to make sure he's OK

There are plenty of examples of it here on ss.com as well. To paint the entire board over at Bisonville as such is incorrect. Not every thread turns into a Hate the Sioux. As a matter of fact most have no mention of you in it. DaveK is just one example of how "hate" to use his own words comes on both boards and dare I say does not represent you very well. I know both boards have their share of posters who like to ruffle feathers (Ive been accused myself) but I can say that I have not used such spiteful or hateful language in any of my posts. Don't paint with such a broad brush as you will find out the paint will likely be all over you as well.

NDSU and SDSU would fit that conference very well. Two land Grants that would immediately be competitive and through the transition. The future looks very interesting for NDSU fans

Oh can we feel the love and the Jealousy in all these posts. DaveK you again show how uneducated you are. The MidCon is DI period, only subclassification in DI is for Football of which the Mid-Con doesn't sponsor. But I wouldn't expect you to know that given that you follow a DII school

I would have thought they would have had a much better chance at winning any appeal or pursuing it even further if they chose to then you guys do. I mean really two stinking feathers and the NCAA is up in arms about it, I have to agree thats a joke. Unlike the nickname "fighting sioux" and the Indian head logo, from the NCAA' perspective that's a much tougher battle then two feathers IMHO.

I should have said this is all dependant on you guys actually going through on the deal. No smack buy kuppy did leave himself an out on the deal if he wanted to stay DII.

UND in to the BSC- I'd say 10% is being wildly optimistic UND into the Midcon- I'd say 50% only after probationary period is over and probably 2-5 years after that. UND into GWFC- 80% if its still around UND in DI indy pergaroty- maybe longer then 2011 possibly 2015 That's my take.

Well you are the one who made the remarks in the post above. Rumor, spin and or speculation was on the part of Star2City. Aff was only pointing out how far fetched the idea of a Canadian school being brought into the NCAA and resting your hope on that to gain entrance into a conference. Nothing more and nothing less. I was only agreeing with him on that point, I think its foolish to rest your hopes on that scenario playing out because I just can't imagine it even becoming anything close to reality.

This is to PCM, I've had my disagreements with AFF in the past but on this point I have to side with him. He isn't speculating when he refers to star2city's notion that you guys are going to get into a conference based on the NCAA letting a Canadian school into the mix, that's just plain ludicrous. Just becuase someone brought that notion up certainly doesn't mean its going to happen and to base conference invites on that scenario is so far out in left field really is grasping at straws.
