  1. What are you talking about. I thought UND proved they have left NDSU in their dust. That game of total domination proved it is just like the late 90’s early 2000’s. UND is now the dominant program in North Dakota?
  2. Not sure why they played this week. I thought last week was for the National Championship. Storming the field, crying at the press conference. That doesn’t happen after a mid season win. They already accomplished more this season than they ever expected to. The season is a success for UND’s players and most of their fans. They finally beat the mighty Bison.
  3. There is some talent on UND's roster and I really like Danielson. Seems like a good kid and really hard worker, but if he is starting and playing big minutes for a D1 team there may be an overall talent issue.
  4. Translation: in any kind of basketball, if you are reaching, hacking and hand checking all the time expect to pick up some fouls.
  5. I watched the game and the officiating did not favor NDSU. How many FT’s were intentional fouls at the end of the game? At least 12. Kacie was completely bailed out in the 3rd/4th quarter and the drive when she had the ball on her hip. They called a foul and all she did was fall down. There was zero contact. if you are going to play as aggressively as UND’s women play defense, expect to have more fouls than your opponent. They are constantly reaching bumping ball handlers.
  6. Stig is kind of walking a thin line here if he suspends the kid when he got no suspension for his arrest a couple of years ago.
  7. I agree Portland didn’t play well against NDSU but the Bison were also without their best player. Portland would probably beat NDSU most nights even if Nelson was healthy, at least early in this season. But looking at Portland’s past scores this year, they lost to #1 N. Carolina by 7, #12 Michigan State by 1 and beat Villanova, this is a good win for NDSU. The Bison have some really talented true freshmen that need game experience. By March if they make the Summit Tourny, they may be able to make some noise.

I didn’t say what is said on a message board would affect how players or staff approach a game. A poster implied it would and should be a great motivator for next years game. Just pointed out that if that would be a motivator that is a bad sign for a program.

If your team needs something like this to motivate them against a rival and the fact that they have been getting the s#*t kicked out of them by this rival since the switch to D1 isn’t enough to motivate them it says a lot about your staff and players.
  10. Not sure U of M will ever have the guts to can a U of M legend.
  11. Because voters are not paying attention. Not sure why Belquist didn’t make it. It is really just a numbers game, but his should have been good enough. If there wasn’t a full back on the team, Lubtke wouldn’t have made it as a RB because his numbers aren’t great, even though if you were going to pick one TB to be on your team it may be him. There we’re a few voters that posted their votes last year and some, including SDSU’s beat writer Zimmerman did not have Christian Watson on their first team because his numbers weren’t great. They don’t take into account NDSU runs 75% of the time and half the season he had a QB (Patterson) that couldn’t throw the ball. Watson was the best receiver in the conference last year. And Belquist may be the best this year.
  12. The Mid Con Conference is now the Summit. When the XDSU’s announced they were getting into an established conference it was still the Mid Con. They changed names the same year they became members.
  13. NDSU’s OL is big but for the most part are tall, big and can move. You don’t see many 6’1 or 6’2 300 lber’s on the NDSU OL. Most are 6’5 to 6’7 and around 300 lb’s. If you look at Mauch, Zabel, Miler before he got hurt and Volson from last year, they are big and athletic enough to move and get out into the 2nd layer of the defense. Some teams come in with an OL all over 300 lbs but they can’t move at all. I have not watched enough of UND this year to know exactly what UND’s OL is like exactly.

    FCS Playoffs

The committee was more than likely going to split up the teams from the same conference in the top 4 seeds anyway. If Sac at had been 1 NDSU most likely would have been the 4 seed. There is no difference between a 1&2 or a 3&4 in all reality.
  15. You can’t pick somebody up and body slam them. Grabbing a leg is not a penalty.
  16. BS. Guarantee you Maeg tries to continue running if he is not tackled again. He is not getting up to run back to the huddle and they are not in a hurry up offense. He was trying to get on SC like Belquist did earlier this season.

Again, just going on this year, they lost to a power 5 FBS school and to the #1 FCS seed by 2 points. What else could they have done to improve their seed. If they had scored 3 more points against SDSU they would be. #1 seed. I know UND fans are all about if 5 or 6 plays in 3 or 4 games had gone differently we would be 10-1 or undefeated. Literally if one play had gone differently (the Payton interception when they were driving to go up 4 scores in the SDSU game) NDSU would be looking at a #1 seed.

Other than the fact that AD’s with teams in the discussion have to leave the room you are 100% correct in your blaming of UND getting screwed and NDSU getting the #3 seed. In case you aren’t following along, NDSU lost by 2 to the #1 seed and by a FG to an FBS team that just beat the #9 team in the country and lost by a score to the #10 team in the country. Oh, and they kicked the s%#t out of Montana State in the championship last year.
  19. Sigle is the one that is somewhat bothersome. But not every kid is a good fit for a program. That may be the case with him. Hart played about the same amount as 5 or 6 WR’s, most are pretty equal. Tbh, when you are spreading out 10 catches among 6 or 7 pass catchers, I am not sure how NDSU keeps any good WR’s. The fact that they got and kept Watson for 5 years is pretty incredible. Gonella is honestly maybe the 5th best back in that room. If he wants to get carries he has to move on. 3 of the kids are from Florida or Georgia. I would be surprised if they don’t end up somewhere closer to home. The South to ND is a bit of a change.
  20. Gonella was one of the 3 yesterday. He just officially tweeted it today. They had a Rfr enter today to make it the 4th one. A DB named Pascoe. I don’t think he had played at all or possibly some special teams.
  21. The timing is if these kids want to keep playing CFB, opening their recruitment before signing day in December makes sense. These kids need to have open scholarship money to land somewhere. These kids are not like Jabril Cox that can pick their school and a school will create a scholarship for them. If they don’t get their name out there now they may end up without a home for next year.
  22. other than their season has lasted 6 weeks longer than 90% of the other FCS schools for the entirety of the kids careers you may be right. And they all talk about how tough and demanding Kramer can be. Most kids can take it and really like Kramer. There are some that feel it is too much.
  23. It is a very demanding program. Kramer in particular is very demanding and with them playing into January most years, there is very little time for an off season. They get 2 weeks off after the title game and are right back at it. It is not for everybody. There is supposed to be a 4th leaving too. We will see who that is. Of the 3 so far, the only real loss is Sigle. He is a very good CB. There are others on the roster that can replace the other 2 without missing anything.
  24. For some reason Miller gets no credit for being a good QB. He is efficient as a runner and has a strong arm and throws a good ball. Maybe even a better runner and a stronger arm than Tommy. And btw. Nobody is talking about the sure pick-6 Tommy threw to a Bison LB that was dropped. The game could have gotten even uglier if that wasn’t dropped.
  25. And if any of those plays happen and UND gets a little closer, NDSU probably doesn't completely close their playbook and doesn't run it up the middle every play with a 3 score lead. NDSU could have scored 60 if they needed to today. The only time they were stopped was when UND completely sold out on the run and NDSU still ran it up the middle just to burn clock.
