Trust me, not everybody is a fan of him being captain.

Eidsness in the 3rd? I missed the first few goals but from the sounds of the (absolutely awful) Gophers radio broadcast, Dell doesn't seem very sharp.
-
I'm pretty sure FSN brings their own cameras and equipment for this series. I seem to remember quite a few more cameras in the arena when the gophers were in town.
-
I seem to remember hearing that it costs nearly $1 million just to take the building the down. That's one of the reasons they haven't done it yet. They didn't have the money to throw around until they grouped it in with money raised for another project.

Does two years count has four semesters or just "spanned over two seasons"? If its the former and he's starting next January, does that mean he'll play the last half of 12-13, all of 13-14, and only the first half of 14-15? Doesn't that make things difficult knowing you have a player who only has half a year of eligibility?

Based on its location it appears we'd need to see a wrecking ball or stick of dynamite first.

Somebody did post some stats that showed the seasons where Mitch had his best stats were the years he played with his brother. Who knows what will happen by putting the two of them together again.
-
Thanks for letting us know that somebody who is 29 is considered an "old person".

If you want HD, "national exposure" isn't the right argument to make. Right now, this season, Fox College Sports is the extent of the national coverage (until any possible national tournament appearance). FCS does not broadcast their three channels (Atlantic, Central, Pacific) in HD. Starting next season with CBS College Sports, that IS broadcast in HD so then it will be beneficial to have the capabilites. As Smoggy said, we would probably be more likely to have games on if CBS doesn't have to haul their equipment to Grand Forks just to show the game. Maybe that will be the kick in the pants necessary to get the infrastructure updated.

The repeal of the Homestead Exemption doesn't affect your property taxes at all. It will effectively raise your adjusted gross income for your 2012 taxes, which are the ones due in April 2013. That means it's over a year before we actually pay for this repeal. At least that's how I understand it. -
Anybody care to explain what's so bad about these Oregon uniforms? I've got the Rose Bowl on right now and I think they look pretty nice.

What'd ya say, three penalties they didn't call?

I rarely ever question a coach's decision, but WHY did Blais take his timeout there? Team USA was steamrolling for a minute there after the shootout save and he let the Czech's back into it by giving them time to regroup. And look what happened....Czech's lead 3-2 now with 7:00 left
-
Just over two minutes into the game against Czech and Forbort got checked awkwardly into the boards. He just was helped off into the locker room and Team USA is now on a 5-minute major. Hopefully he's not hurt too bad.

The offense doesn't seem to be clicking. Passes aren't as crisp as on Monday, but that's probably because the defense here is much better so they're having to force things a bit more. I wonder why Gibson is in net today instead of Campbell. End of the 2nd period, Finland leads 1-0

Now this game is looking like I expected it to look.

http://www.foxsportsnorth.com/pages/fsnorth_plus/ If your cable company isn't listed there, they probably don't carry it.

Am I ready!? I made sure to take off the appropriate days from work to make sure I don't miss any games. This is my second favorite hockey week of the year. (Second only to the week of the WCHA first round, Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament, Final Five)
-
Are there plans for a change in URL/title for this website?
-
As far as I know (which, admittedly, is very little regarding the Target Center) the only hockey they've ever hosted is the Minnesota State High School tournament in 1999 and 2000. Beginning in 2001 when the X opened, the tournmanet moved there.

I can't say I disagree with you on that, but if you're posting certain things just to get a rise out of people and to see their reaction, that is the definition of a message board troll.
-
You can't honestly think you weren't going to blasted for posting that you are cheering for the Bison, did you? Why not just defuse it right off the bat by saying why you're cheering for them? There was nothing in your post that even implied there was a "whole story" so how could Siouxperfan have even known he should be waiting for more?

CenturyLink Center. Seats 16,680 for hockey. But I think if it's going to be held at a school's home rink then it should rotate between schools.
-
With teams in Ohio and Michigan, and the two teams in Colorado, it still leaves the Twin Cities as very central location. I think they're either going to have to go with something around here (TC) or have it rotating at various schools' venues.

I missed the first two periods, what happened at the end of the 2nd that caused the Russian player to get booted?
