Yup. On top of that, the announcers seemed to be almost whispering during normal play by play, but then went full volume yelling when BU scored. It was an incredibly uncomfortable broadcast to watch and listen to.

The initial call was just a hand pass. Not sure when that turned to a “closed hand in puck”. The camera work on this is awful so I couldn’t see anything.

Just learned that Jake’s half-brother is Johnny Walker, who played five years with ASU.

The crowd noise keeps going in and out. Halfway through I synced it up with Tim because I couldn’t handle the poor broadcast any more.

The refs are going to lose control of this game if they swallow their whistles this early.

I took Intro to Skating from Hakstol back in spring 2003. I think he "taught" for about 5 minutes per class, then went into his office to do work while everybody skated in circles. Pretty sure he was more focused on getting the team ready for the playoffs than teaching. Don't blame him.

What blows my mind is how other schools are going in the opposite direction. St. Cloud State was over 18,000 back in 2010. Last year they were at 10,093. Will they even be over 10,000 this year?
