  1. Which sign do you guys believe not to be real? I am pretty sure I am right on the one from Denver. Thanks.
  2. Darn right. I just checked the exit number in the atlas, 6th Ave/US 6 is exit 209 (I-25) in Denver. Of course the "Welcome to ND" is a fake.
  3. I also found out where the sign is from. It is from Denver. My cousin lives off 6th Ave. and that 6th Ave. is also US 6. This is the website the picture is from is http://www.mesalek.com/ Aurora (where the site's webmaster is from) is a suburb of Denver.
  4. It is not a true sign. Exit numbers are never listed with out an arrow, what that exit is for, or etc. below it. I found the sign, or possibly another fake, on accident using google image search. Who ever made the spoof just edited in the welcome sign and etc.
  5. Yes I was there. Are you a Jay fan? Just wondering. OK. Score Jamestown 7 Minot 5. Jamestown looked fairly good. They passed quite well and moved the puck up ice very quickly. Most of their goals, if not all, came off of Minot turnovers or poorly executed faceoffs. Minot would win or lose a draw and Jamestown would catch them out of posstion and get an odd man rush. Jamestown also was good at turning the puck up ice. They got a breakaway and scored. This happened because Minot took a shot on goal and Jamestown managed to recover the puck and catch Minot on a line change. Minot needs to work on their defensive coverage so as to not allow so many odd man rushes. It was not exactly a realy hard hitting game but Jamestown did land a monster open ice hit against a minot player. Minot also switched goalies partway through the game. Jamestown scored an empty net goal late in the game. Minot does not have a lot of scoring power but they do get spurts of production; Ted Larson (Minot) did get a hattrick.
  6. Minot got beat pretty good by East Grand Forks. I don't feel like writing a bigger recap, sorry. It is starting to look like it is going to be a rough season, though.
  7. Jamestown 7-5 with an open net over Minot Jamestown JV by one goal over Minot JV Tomorrow, away against East Grand (Minot).
  8. Yeah, I kind of suspected something like that. I wonder what will happen to the NCC name and logo and etc.
  9. Not so fast!http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?sh...6885&st=180 Post # 186 But yea, it is sad. I also wonder if a conference has ever folded this fast before.
  10. In case there is some confussion, Devil's Lake would hammer Central right now; I would predict a score of 5 or 6 to 1. Minot should have beat Central; they were leading 1-0 with about ten minutes left in the game. As for how Minot stacks up in the West, well, I don't know. I have not saw Bismarck or any of the other teams play yet. It does look like Minot is lacking scoring power though.
  11. Minot lost to Central 4-1 Devils Lake is a very good team. Their passes are very crisp. And number 5, Kyle Everson, is very good (A hatrick against Minot). He has good hands (very good). Central is not as good as Devil's Lake and Minot could have beat them. Minot does not have much scoring power right now. Central is not as disapline as Devil's Lake is seemed. Sorry, it is kind of random but I am tired.
  12. Thanks bincitysioux. You make good points.
  13. Good points bincitysioux. I still do not understand though how NDSU could get 2 games on statewide broadcast TV. But your right. This is perplexing.
  14. Good points. But I still don't see a 100% effort from them to get the game on TV. I see NDSU bias. 2 of their games on state wide broadcast TV and 0 Sioux games. Their Montana game on, no UNI game. Now no playoff game.
  15. I am not happy either. I fired off an email and got this reply: I don't buy any excuses. This game should be on TV; state wide TV for that matter. Edit: The UNI game should have been on TV, also.
  16. That seems like a good way to do it. But I would rather not see a name used that is the same as one already used by another school.
  17. Yes, lets talk Minnesota high school hockey. I have offten wondered about it. Also, plenty of Sioux recruits come out of there.
  18. If we have to eliminate the name, I want us to just go with out one then. Keep the same colors and every thing, just go with out a name. Also, do not make a new logo to replace the "head." Go with one less logo. Edit: Well I am not quite so sure. the "Force of the North" would be pretty good. (serious)
  19. I know they do. But the Sioux, I beleive, are in a slump. The only other team in the WCHA I see in a slump is Wisconsin. UND will get out of it and then they will be right near the top.
  20. What possition did he play? Thanks
  21. Thanks Sicatoka. Look at Minnesota. They have swept Wayne State, Ohio State, CC, and Duluth, not exactly tough teams. They lost to Main as did we and they swept Wisconsin, who we split with. They tied SCSU twice, we beat and tied them. I think North Dakota will get better and we will be right with Minnesota (or at least in the top three in the WCHA). UAA has been hard on us in the past.
  22. Are there any schools that are looking at adding hockey? I would think that Saint Mary's in Bismarck would eventualy be able to have a team. I am currious as to what North Dakota High School hockey's future holds. Will it become better and send more kids on to higher levels or will it dissapear in favor of Junior Gold or something else. How about youth hockey? Since that is the feeder for High School teams are any youth programs getting bigger. North Dakota is now going to be seperate from Minnesota in the USA Hockey districs. What kind of an effect will that have? Thanks.
  23. I know that Minot lost to Dickinson and beat Bismarck at the Hazen jamboree. I was told the Dickinson win was a fluke.
  24. I would think that next year there will be a D1-AA team on the schedule since Tom Bunning has given them freedom to do so. (It was brought up in the half-time show in the game against USD.)
