I received a Fighting Sioux green away jersey along with a tee-shirt and a longsleeve T-shirt. Some stickers also.

I don't see Dillon Kraft as trying to be like Terrel Owens. Kraft has not been in a fight yet this year. He is a smart player and does not take stupid penalties. He was not being cocky and a show-off.

The Minot JV plays in the Williston turnament but not the Varsity. Some of you were wondering why the West deserves their own thread. I will tell you why. It is because the ND high school hockey thread gets filled with page after page of arguments about whether Fargo South rules or Grand Forks rules (or something similar). Fun to read sometimes but other times I want to see game scores and read some stuff about the West. The bus did get a few rabbits thrown at it in Williston. I back Kraft up all the way. He did not taunt the Williston players; he never even realy said anything to them. He was quick about it, gave the puck to the fans, and went back to his bench. He was not trying to make the Williston players mad or anything like that. He did not do it to make a name for himself. He was doing it for the fun of it. Now saying that, if another player does the same thing I will not support him.

Also in tonight's Minot/Williston game. Dillon Kraft (Minot) after scoring a breakaway goal quickly stopped, went back to the net, and grabbed the puck. He pulled out a sharpie (or some other writing device) from his hockey pants and signed the puck. He then gave it to the students section. It was hilarious. Edit: If you go to KXnet.com you might be able to watch it.

Minot won the game 5-1. It was a tight game at the begining but after minot had scored about 3 the air kind of went out of Williston. Minot did seem to get some key bounces, like one of their goals was a shot from the boards that the Williston goalie deflected in to his own net with his stick.

Minot plays Williston on Thursday in Minot. It should be a pretty good game. I see Minot winning by a little bit more than they did in Williston. I think the score there was 3-0. Minot is at home and not on Williston's huge rink. Minot seems to have improved since then, too.

I posted this question a while back and never recieved an answer. If anybody has anything to say now, post it; thanks.

I think it would be great. I would love to see something like that happen.

Minot beat Bismarck High 2-1. Minot controlled the game and could have won it 5-1. This again shows that Minot has a hard time finding the back of the net. In other news, Bismarck's JV goalie got a DQ for a punch with his blocker. I think he will be suspended for 30 days. Williston beat Bismarck-Century in overtime. Score: 3-2

Minot High beat Dickinson last night. I think the score was 2-0. I know Minot had a shutout. Next up, Bismarck High this Saturday. It is Hockey Day in Minot so there should be a good crowd on hand. I will most likely post all of Minot High's game scores in this thread. Edit: Sorry about the title guys, I messed it up. But this is a thread for Minot and other Western North Dakota HS hockey stuff.

Jim, I was just thinking. The "North Dakota High School hockey" thread gets so long with so many different conversations in it that it gets hard to read. Now these conversations have meaning to some people and for others looking for game updates they get in the way. So I propose creating a new sub-forum (like the "Hockey" or the "Football" sections under "UND Sports") under the "Community" section of the entire forum. Call it "North Dakota High School sports" or something like that. That way people can post more than one thread for High School hockey; High School football can also go under it. Thanks

Minot over Williston 3 to zero.

Does anyone know the score of the Red River Jamestown game? Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, I see the game is tomorrow.

I know Minot has won one State championship. I ment they should have won another one or two. Yes, they should have won State two years ago in my oppinion. Those same kids had won Bantam A State.

This is just as far as I know, he never coached me. Samson was not a very good motivator and he was not a very disciplined coach. His teams took tons of penalties. During Chads first year as coach, the amount of penalties dropped by a lot. Yes they should have one State, at least once and maybe twice. I did not know Blaise helped out with the youth program. Simmilarly, the current Minot State coach (Bernie Lynch) coaches Bantam B's. The kids realy like him and he is very good.

I was also thinking that Kyle Everson could be a Mr. Hockey candidate. I never heard about Al Henry getting hit by a puck. There is netting all the way around the rink so I don't know how a puck with any kind of force could hit someone. Edit: Oops, Al Henry is Devil's Lake's coach, isn't he? By the way, JV tied 2-2. So yeah, baby steps are being taken. Edit: Both goalies did have good games. You are right, Minot had lots of pressure and some chances before getting caught and then having to trip Everson and then give up the goal.

I think the current coach (in his second season) has some potential. Gary Samson was a horrible coach and should have been sacked long before 2 years ago. If it had not been for him, we almost for sure would have won State a few years ago. Danny Hanson I do not want to see coaching either. He ran our booster program for a while and wasn't very good. I realy can't think of anyone in town that is currently coaching that would be a good guy for the possition (other than Minot State's coach and not counting the current coach).

Devil's Lake won in overtime on a penalty shot goal. Score 3-2. Minot had lots of pressure in overtime and the defence pinched and got caught. Then Kyle Everson, who got tripped on the folowing breakaway, scored on the penalty shot.

These are my picks for the West Region. 1. Minot -They will get their act together and their goaltending should be good down the stretch. 2. Jamestown -They are on a mission to show West teams. But I don't think they will beat Minot again and they will have some close losses. 3. Bismarck(HS) -Not to sure about these guys. I would say it depends on how the rival games with Minot go, if they can sweep Minot then I see Minot, Jamestown, and Bismarck all pretty even in the standings. 4. Williston -Again, not to sure hear, but I just don't see them having the depth. But it is to early yet to know to much and the teams have not played consistently.

Minot plays Devil's Lake tonight for the second time this year. I looking for the big bounce back and it might just happen. Minot has found some scoring but it is still a little inconsistent. I think goaltending for Minot should be better. Plus, Minot is at home.

Which sign do you guys believe not to be real? I am pretty sure I am right on the one from Denver. Thanks.
