Yes it was a big road win for the team. It should help them carry some momentum into the West Region turnament. They are realy clicking on all cylinders right now. Also, they are good in the defensive zone. Like I said, the JV game's reffing was worse than the Varsity game's. But for instance in the Varsity game, one of the Minot players fell down in front of the net. The puck was no where to be seen and there was a scrum. But the reffs would not blow the whistle. When they finaly did, it turned out that the Minot player was on top of the puck (out of the crease) and they gave him a delay of game penalty. You can not give a kid a delay of game penalty for just not getting up when there is a scrum going on.

The game was in Jamestown. Apparently they got the ice fixed. Jamestown has horrible refs. They ran the two man system for the JV game. They were bad, bad refs. In the Varsity game they were a little bit better and at least there were three of them but they still were not very good. The reffing was terrible.

Plus, Minot beat Hazen 9-0, or something like that, and Bismarck beat Hazen 1-0 last night.

The last time DL and Minot played Minot lost on a penalty shot in overtime; Minot has improved since then.

WOW! Minot killed Hazen. The score was something like 9-0. Hazen's goalie must be able to stand on his head some nights. 73 shots and only one goal...

How is it that Fargo South has been ranked #1? Is there a formal poll? How is this ranking arrived at? Thanks for any information.

Kraft reiceved a 2 game suspension from the Minot AD.

Yes it was serious. That Century game was for 2 points. Also, I am pretty sure that Century had more than the usual number of Varsity kids playing. The game was for two points though.

That was his second goal of the year.

I know that most likely that was the first game he carried it. Also, I do not support classless acts, but like I said, I don't realy see this as a very classless act.

Bottineau is pretty good I think. I am giving them a decent chance to go to State this year. I see them possibly knocking off a slightly higher ranked team like Williston or Century in the West region turnament.

There was talk that the Minot High Athletic Director, Pat McNally, is going to susbend Kraft for a game. I do not know if there is any truth to it though.

I received a Fighting Sioux green away jersey along with a tee-shirt and a longsleeve T-shirt. Some stickers also.

I don't see Dillon Kraft as trying to be like Terrel Owens. Kraft has not been in a fight yet this year. He is a smart player and does not take stupid penalties. He was not being cocky and a show-off.

The Minot JV plays in the Williston turnament but not the Varsity. Some of you were wondering why the West deserves their own thread. I will tell you why. It is because the ND high school hockey thread gets filled with page after page of arguments about whether Fargo South rules or Grand Forks rules (or something similar). Fun to read sometimes but other times I want to see game scores and read some stuff about the West. The bus did get a few rabbits thrown at it in Williston. I back Kraft up all the way. He did not taunt the Williston players; he never even realy said anything to them. He was quick about it, gave the puck to the fans, and went back to his bench. He was not trying to make the Williston players mad or anything like that. He did not do it to make a name for himself. He was doing it for the fun of it. Now saying that, if another player does the same thing I will not support him.

Also in tonight's Minot/Williston game. Dillon Kraft (Minot) after scoring a breakaway goal quickly stopped, went back to the net, and grabbed the puck. He pulled out a sharpie (or some other writing device) from his hockey pants and signed the puck. He then gave it to the students section. It was hilarious.
