  1. I'm still trying to figure out what $500,000+ for a house in Fargo or GF gets you. I would expect something like this ...
  2. I know the Blues and 'Hawks have done it for certain games, such as when the Wings or some other big "name" or rival is coming to town. I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen based an a team's relative success during the season. They do unexpectedly well, and the prices increase a bit. Maybe not vice versa ...
  3. I saw a better picture of the new Black third on Facebook last night. I like it, and it doesn't have "cuffs". I agree with those who don't like the "Reebok" name on the front. The RBK logo would be sharp IMHO.
  4. I can definitely tell LeBel is a lawyer by training.
  5. I'll agree with those who say there was a more aggressive forecheck by the forewards under Blais, Rory McMahon comes to mind. The downside is that if you get caught too deep, you can give up odd-man rushes.
  6. I think a "fashionista" icon would play pretty well in this thread.
  7. Any black thirds?
  8. I don't know. But I'd like one X-large t-shirt, please.
  9. They look a lot like the Blackhawks sweaters. I have a black one, and really like it. Hope they do a good job for the Sioux too.
  10. We should never play TT again, in any sport. We can't have people stroking out over something so terrible. /sarcasm off Asking other schools to abide by some asinine protocol so a few delicate souls don't get their little feelings hurt? Really? Let's just fold the football and hockey teams, and field a rythmic gymnastics team instead.
  11. And yet some people still think it's a good idea to enter into "agreements" with these "governments".
  12. IIRC UND's history of moving college players into the pro ranks was one of the reasons Herb Brooks gave ZPar to sign.
  13. Why? He has no real ties to the school other than a paycheck, and he has no real authority to affect any change to the outcome. As was noted, he came into this situation after its conclusion was largely decided. He has a bad hand and he's trying to make the best of the situation.
  14. Excellent effort by the team. If they keep playing that hard throughout the season, they should do pretty well. Go Sioux!
  15. Agreed. Given its age and enrollment, UND probably could have moved to D1 years ago if the stars had aligned. Score? TT: 56 UND: 13 ... probably scored in the late 4th quarter. Give us a few years ...
  16. Try here ... Scheels
  17. Ya know, it's never too late to become a Fighting Sioux hockey fan too. Redemption can be yours ... FWIW: I know a number of Tech alums, and they take their football very seriously. Thankfully, I haven't been dumb enough to bet on this game, spread or otherwise.
  18. In a somewhat related note, William Marvin, patriarch of the Marvin clan in Warroad who sent a few players to UND, died at age 92. He was a Minnesota alum, and I'm sure he never forgave those who chose the better path at UND.
  19. It's going to suck for him going through airports ...
  20. My brother-in-law is an enrolled member of SR, and I don't believe he went to UND less expensively than anyone else.
  21. Aside from maybe here and USCHO, did anyone really mention them coming back?
  22. Agreed. It's definitely one of the finer hockey venues around. It was always easy to get tickets on game day. Go to Stubs an hour or two ahead of game time, and ask around. Most of the time you'll probably find yourself talking hockey with some very agreeable fans, if you don't get stuck near the student section.
  23. Well, if they want to win a Title they should go to UND, or they can go to the University of No Hardware (UNH). Congrats to Travis and the wife.
  24. I like it. The 'Hawks can sponsor a Lawn Mower Toss and Cabbie Beatdown on Navy Pier ... for charity, of course.
  25. I crossed sticks with The Triouxper a few times, and generally appreciated his devotion and dedication to the Sioux regardless of the differing views. RIP Troy, and my condolences to his family and friends.
