I tend to agree. Hak's near-immediate action before the criminal process plays out sends a strong message to the team, as well as the rest of the world. Hopefully, Matt is mature enough to learn from this experience and become a better player and person.

Having hung out with some hockey players when I was on campus, I presume booze was a given. Stupid move by Finley to run, and even more stupid by Frattin. In a larger city, they'd be pulling Taser hooks out of his ass or getting him treated for K-9 love bites.

I don't disagree. Without a valid long-term agreement between the state and the appropriate governing bodies of each tribal group, I think we would be revisiting this issue every time a new election was held, somebody felt "insulted" by a misuse of the name, the NC$$ took a different view of the world, etc. The "settlement" was designed to be a search for the Holy Grail, and dropping the name/logo was the implicit price of a relatively smooth move to D1.

I'm not really surprised. That said, I'm surprised the 'Hawks would effectively demote Tallon. I doubt he'lll stay in Chicago beyond another season or so.

With Lemaire as the new coach, I'd like to think Parise and Zajac's agent will get them to a team that will actually want to move the puck up and down the ice.

I think FSU in only one of a number of big schools that push the edge when it comes to maintaining their athletic programs. A good friend of mine tutored FB players in English when she was an undergrad at Alabama, and she was amazed many of these guys could barely read/write at a 5th grade level, yet they still graduated "with honors" in many cases.

Let's trade the CCHA UAA for UNO, and just call it a day.

I'll wear my Sioux gear until hell freezes over or it becomes too worn out to wear. However, I will not wear/buy anything with any replacement name/logo which will probably suck dog balls regardless.
