This is a good test that actually comes at a good time for this young team. Also, you know others teams will learn from this weekend’s game film. It all requires a top end goalie, though.

Thanks for posting, cberkas. I didn’t know but will now tune in early for it. -
Nice. What camera and lenses do you use for hockey?
-
The closer they get to playoffs, the more important it becomes to win the 1-0 or 2-1 games. And they played well.
-
Miami works hard, is well coached, and has a great goalie, but they don’t have a Plante.
-
They’ve had at least half a dozen grade A1 scoring opportunities. It could easily be a 6-0 game
-
Yeah, the longer we go like this the more a bounce or tipped puck looms large.
-
Really solid play that period. Solid net play for Miami

I think Ralph I was called the winter sports building, wasn’t it? I was a student in the first several years there, and security was pretty tight when it came to dead gophers and badgers, though the busts usually happened down by the glass in the student section. The old barn, on the other hand, was pretty wide open, partly because everyone wore full parkas that were good for hiding wine skins and dead animals. Wine skins were passed around the student end constantly. I may be mistaken on Ralph I being called the Winter Sports Building. A live chicken though . . . that’s art. -

We are not worthy! how the hell do you sneak in a live chicken? -
I understand there’s carryover each week, but that’s a lot of work you share with us, Dave. Thanks.

Ha! I wondered about that! The old John Deere hat goes on the ice. -

This probably belongs in the memories thread, but have any of you tossed a hat trick hat on the ice at the Ralph? Or had the chance but didn’t? -

And Denver (or WMU?) losses would reduce that further? The main thing is staying in the top 4 NPI. Winning a game or two in the conf tourney against Western and/or DU would go a long way toward maintaining at least a 3 ranking. -
Any Purpur or Gambucci descendants showing up as prospects?

Yup. There are so many reasons to give the kids’ long-term health top priority. First, you owe it to the player, personally and for his future at the next level. Also, our program must be trusted by teams with future interests in these kids to protect their long term health. At the front end prior to NCAA hockey, future prospects will hear from their advisers and coaches, including CHL, if UND doesn’t put its players’ health above its own immediate desire to win. When there is any doubt, let them heal and give the next kid a chance to contribute. -

Think winning 3 of next 4 and splitting at Western will maintain 3 seed going into conf. tourney? -

Yeah; even keeping him out for one series would be good news -

You’d think there would have been something if there was a bad MRI result. -
UND is my alma mater (x2), and I will always cheer loud for them, but away with blue blood classifications; especially in the age of NIL. Go St Thomas, Augustana, and Lake State, et al. I get the point of the thread, though, Hawksfan. There will be some interesting posts.
