2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

How about our old friend, Hammer? One-timers all over the place. -
I don't suppose the movement is likely to be very substantial, but isn't it possible that a team eliminated from further play and outside the bubble as of tomorrow might sneak back inside next weekend based on the evolving record of teams which it played and which are still playing in the conference tourneys?

Good game in the end, but it was getting pretty ledgie around here after 20. Make that 18:58. -

Against a team like this, UND needs to open it up. Miami can't win a horse race against UND -

Miami had shots but low percentage ones. Could easily be 4-0 with the chances UND had. -

The way I read the bones, if the boys can stay within 6 at the end of the first, they crush the hawkettes. -

Just because you’ve done far worse doesn’t mean you couldn’t do far better, gf. Your game is off.

What does “xG” mean? -
He was pretty amazing at backcheck steals.

And though he is no Oshie, he is surprisingly strong on his feet with the puck--unless it's a tripping situation, and he knows how to sell that. Quite unlike Schmaltz, who can be taken off the puck fairly easily. And I like Schmaltz for what he does.

Who are the biggest risks to leave early?

Let’s never forget our ace in the hole netminder: Wilbur.

Seems to this poster you are a fan of losing so you can play your bit. But that is probably inaccurate, and you really are eager to discuss the game of hockey rather than just bad outcomes. We’re all UND fans, though, and just like seeing them win, regardless how we go about being a fan, so its all good. I guess I’m one of those people who is content being a mediocre fan and not a champion fan.

Then again, Berry is roundly criticized for being inflexible on line combinations. It’s a culture thing.

That unpredictability is part of what makes college hockey so good, IMO.

Paid a little visit to The Ledge yesterday. Pretty crowded. Fans with a dazed, desperate look, some moaning “I don’t deserve this” and “We used to be elite!” There were some vacant spaces along the outside edge, suggesting some may have already jumped, though I was afraid to lean out and look for splat marks below. It was pretty obvious that gf, who has been a full time resident since 5 years after Hak became HC, and his business, Gfhockey Ledge Properties, are benefitting from the recent sweeps by CC and Omaha. They must have rebuilt the elevators, because they were reportedly able to fill large areas of the Ledge this weekend in the time it takes to play one period of hockey. Not sure I’d want to go back up there if the boys lose to Miami this weekend. Many of those up there now will be gone, and not because they took the “down” elevator.
