Since Dave is so desperate for attention, we should conduct a survey or poll to determine why. I'd go with harsh toilet training coupled with some kind of abandonment syndrome. The abandonment syndrome might explain the need for attention, and the harsh toilet training would explain the whole gopher thing. A middle school counselor would be very familiar with Dave's behaviors.

Agreed. My comments were more along the lines of "one drooling moron to another."

And Minnie could not sweep #27 Wisconsin? Pitiful. But then, the gophs always promise a lot and choke when they have to beat the good teams in April. Huge school, lots of in-state talent to choose from, and they just don't seem to be able to figure it out. Between them and Michigan, which has been irrelevant since Hula Hoops, the B1G is just there to take money from sucker fans who don't know boarding from roughing the passer.

Suter definitely. Quietly MVP material.

They didn't test for drugs, I'll wager.

Depends on who else I have around them, but Stetcher before Forbort.

Their goaltending that weekend was the worst I've seen in a while.

I'm stocking up on Dramamine in case the floating tiger heads return.

In the 50s, when the pucks were Mason fruit jar lids, Michigan won year after year.
-
Yeah, with last year, I'd agree. Despite our title drought, it's been an amazing run.

It is a good post. Using BC as a comparison model is not very useful, since they have pretty much been at a level all by themselves since they lost the NC to us in '00.

I'm still trying to figure out why the B1G's SOS is so weak. I mean, I know they play each other more than anyone else but . . . wait . . . .

Get up off the floor and quit crying.

Going by pairwise, you gotta say UND. Probably the same answer using other metrics. Now, if you ask who would stand the best chance of getting to the FF if they make the tourney, you might say UND has a better chance.

CC should not be seen as a softie. A win and a tie AT Duluth, two ties at Miami, and two 3-1 loses in home and away with Denver. They are not last year's team.
-
Here's another very good way of looking at the strengths of conferences. The following is the current KRACH SOS ranking: 1. Duluth 2. North Dakota 3. Denver 4. Miami 5. SCSU 6. CC 7. Western Michigan 8. Providence 9. BU 10. Vermont The reason for that total dominance is pretty obvious. Can't imagine why the B1G is a no-show.

I'm sure Dogs fans feel that way, but things happen in the NCAAs, as we all know. That is why we fans have to learn to enjoy great college hockey when we get it in our own rink, whether we get a banner out of it or not. In fact, we should also be ready to enjoy great college hockey when it comes to our rink. Time is too short not to enjoy this game, and when we get too bent out of shape when we don't get what we want, we lose something that is very good.

That's a dam good team you have over there this year.
-
They have played to their potential--that's what is sobering. Not surprising, but sobering. In fact, it is possible we have seen them play beyond it at times.
-
That thought has passed through my mind more than once recently. And I hope people are not assuming CC will be soft opposition. They are much improved. It's a dog fight this year--exactly what we had reason to expect. Just because this team is losing games they did not lose last year does not mean the players are lazy or do not care. Have faith, Berry has a plan. The Gornall is FULLY OPERATIONAL. Opposition beware.

I thought tonight actually went pretty well. Could have been 5-0.
-
They were very good last year and have 8 seniors (and 6 juniors)

My Man.

We certainly haven't carried play, but they have not done a bad job of limiting their prime scoring chances. The problem, as Ox pointed out, is that we don't have what it takes to come storming back very often against a team with this much talent and experience. Not over by a long shot, but it will be tough to turn this around. Cam will have to make them really work for their goals. .

Because his need for attention is at the root of that passion. He may be old in years, but he is a child in that respect. Otherwise, you are right, he would not waste his time here seeking responses that most people would not want or need. We all knew that kid in middle school.
