North Dakota just isn't as good as a lot of teams this year. Live with it. Doesn't mean we don't have a chance to pull off big things, but the chances are a slim as they are with any team that is good but not outstanding.

I disagree. They don't have the kind of talent we are used to, particularly with Jost out. I don't see why that is such a mystery.

Did any of you guys see the CC/UMD series or talk to anyone who did? A win and a tie and only 4 goals against in UMD's barn tells me they are capable of playing some pretty good hockey.

That thought actually crossed my mind after Wolanin had some poor defensive efforts.

CC is obviously capable of playing very good hockey, as their series with UMD shows. If they have good team speed, they may play us better than Union did. Our D seems particularly vulnerable to speed and quickness. All teams are, of course, but it seems to cause us special problems. Seeing how they lost confidence last week, we need tonight.

Cam has been great for us over the last 2 years, but injury or the possibility of it is precisely why Hrynkiw or Tomek should have been getting some starts. My opinion, but I have to admit I trust our coaches' opinions a lot more.

I know CC has not played well most weekends, but what is the best part of their game. In the past, you could always expect some explosiveness from their offense.

Even with Jost, the Hawks are not a sure thing against anybody. Just have to hope for the best this weekend and get Jost healthy. They will not go deep without him. They may not even get in without him. All that said, I'm glad we have the coaches we do.

B1G regular season trophies end up in the equipment manager's garage along with other things which have no value but probably should not be put in the trash, like used motor oil and broken blenders.

I think most UND fans think we are just not that good at this point and that the goal, which is not a sure thing, is to get into the tournament. We lost to much to be a favorite to win another banner. Sometimes being the underdog is OK.
