  1. Total domination by the Sioux the last several minutes. It looks like they woke up.
  2. Big Joe must be feeling ok. He just made a puppet with no strings out of Morin. Got a little carried away, though, with the crosscheck that followed it up.
  3. I think early in the year Hakstol said that Gregoire could probably kill penalties in the NHL. At 15 min of the period we found out why. Nice work.
  4. I believe a trip like this one opened Mike Cichy's eyes. It cannot hurt.
  5. Shoot, back in my days there were actually HILLS on campus, and I had to walk up them both ways to get back and forth to class.
  6. I prefer it to losing to them.
  7. jk mentioned Hextall's good play. On the post-game Hakstol pointed out that Hextall was probably the best player for the Sioux tonite. I remember at one point in the game Hexall had the puck on the wall, curled out, dropped the puck for himself and got a nice shot off on goal. That really stood out to me as I had thought at the time most players would just chip that either forward or back to either a linemate in the corner or a D at the point. Hextall made something very nice happen rather than give the 2 SCSU players bracketing him a chance to play the puck. Hakstol specifically mentioned that play as one that stood out tonite.
  8. Exactly. I made that comment after a botched rebound that he was fortunate to cover up.
  9. One thing I was really pleased with tonite was how well the Sioux answered SCSU goals quickly. The Sioux have been on the wrong end of that too many times. Nice to lay the hammer down on the opponent tonite.
  10. Not Eidsness's best series.
  11. That's what they call a bounce! Great work by the whole unit, and good heads up play by Hextall to finish. I like Tarek Howard's comment: "Nice job by the Sioux with 11,000 of their closest friends urging them to get the puck on net!"
  12. First call on SCSU looked weak to me but made up for one or another that wasn't called earlier. Need to take advantage now on the 5x3.
  13. Eidsness probably would like another shot at that one, but he shouldn't have had to make the save to start with. The Sioux D did a poor job of trying to pass the puck out of the zone which resulted in the puck being held in the zone, and ultimately the goal. Not good all around.
  14. Not a good job getting the puck out of the zone that time and a good effort by Marvin to create that opportunity. VERY unfortunate to give one up before the end of the period. Would have liked to finish this period off with a 3 goal lead.
  15. I can see why Kozek was called for that elbow but it was a clean check. He didn't throw the elbow into Lasch, he brought it up even with the plane of his body, but in real time I can see how the ref thought that was a bad hit.
  16. Tomorrow I'm going to have to watch the replay for that sequence because that was MEN out there on that goal. Way to go Watkins, Martens and Zajac.
  17. Bummer, high sticking on Zajac.
  18. That penalty better be on SCSU for holding Watkins.
  19. Boys are keeping the pressure up. Big key not to give another one up quickly.
  20. Marto has decided to factor in on the scoresheet!!
  21. GREAT hustle by that group and great job finishing. Nice to answer back as it seemed like the Sioux were having things there way other than the one SCSU goal.
  22. Ugh, hate to give one up that quickly.
  23. Great job of cycling by the big boys. Bad D coverage by SCSU = Duncan goal!
  24. Eades' 3 keys: 1. Minimize the odd man rushes with better decisions by the 3rd forward high and the strong side D 2. Stay out of the penalty box. Figure out the officiating standard and be smart. 3. Keep Roe and Lasch off the scoreboard, again. Not necessarily in that order.
  25. Clearing your temporary files out of your internet cache memory could help with performance. Others could better explain what's going on, but if you are running Internet Explorer, try this: Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options. Where it asks about deleting your temporary internet files, delete all that stuff involving cookies, temp files, etc etc. I would also restart my computer if you haven't done that recently. These things MIGHT help. But it's about all I have to offer.
